The escalator moves the man at a constant velocity from the ground level to the floor above, a vertical height of 4.80 m. What is the work done on the man by each of the following forces?

He gains potential energy equal to
m*g*h which is negative work by gravity and positive work by the escalator (assuming he stepped on and off the escalator at exactly the same speed as the escalator).
