Science books tell us that the temprature of outerspace is something like 4 degrees Kelvin. How does one arrive at that conclusion? What is the temprature being measured from, or is it a theoretical temprature?

Knowing that even spacesuits face the problem of dissipating heat generated by the wearing astronaught (a vaccume is a perfect insulator), how can one explain that a capsule containing an entire crew would drop below freezing?

Wouldn't the heat radiated away in infared be overcome by direct sunlight on the pod in space?

I have two questions regarding vectors. Can someone please help.

1)A person desires to reach a point that is 6.10 km from her present location and in a direction that is 35.0° north of east. However, she must travel along streets that are oriented either north-south or east-west. What is the minimum distance she could travel to reach her destination?

2)A car is driven east for a distance of 46 km, then north for 34 km, and then in a direction 26° east of north for 29 km. Draw the vector diagram and determine the total displacement of the car from its starting point.
find Magnitude

3) Vectors:
a = (5.0 m) i + (3.0 m) j
b = (-10 m) i + (3.0 m) j
What is the direction of a + b?

We did a blood typing experiment in class the other day and I had trouble reading my results. I thought that I might be O+ because I couldn't really see any clumps forming with my blood interacting with the anti-A or anti-B serum. I called my teacher over to ask him and he looked, pointed out a couple tiny clumps, and said that my results meant that I was AB+. My dad is O+ and my mom is A+ and, from my understanding of genetics, that would mean that I would have to be A+ or O+ right? Could the test be wrong or is my dad not my biological father?

1) Find time it takes for race car to overtake stock car
2) Find the distance that they go before they are side by side
3) Find velocity of both cars when they are side by side
