I have been finding poop or pellets of some kind scattered over my driveway and front porch. They measure everywhere between the size of a tootsie roll to the size of a pencil eraser (including the metal part). They are dry and very brittle and have very visible insect pieces in them, such as june bug wings. My first thought was that these were owl pellets, but there is no fur in them, and anyway, I've never seen or heard any owls around here. I also thought they might be from bats, although I find a lot of these "things" under my porch overhang, and I've never seen any bats flying around. We have a lot of toads around, and although a lot of the pieces are too big to be toad turds, I thought that maybe they are something that toads regurgitate. Do toads do that? If it's not from toads, do you have any idea what it might be?

I'm kind of confused if I should be proud to be a Filipino by considering the fact if a Filipino did invent the fluorescent lamp.

This link leads to a picture on Wikipedia that shows the extent of the glaciation during the most recent ice age.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Northern_icesheet_hg.png

According to that picture, there was a heck of a lot of ice on North America, but not nearly as much on eastern Siberia. It seems odd to me that eastern Siberia wouldn't have glaciers since Siberia is generally very cold.

From the distribution of ice shown in the picture, it looks like the North Pole may have been closer to Baffin Island back then, (Baffin Island is the big island to the west of Greenland).

Has anyone ever heard of any geologists proposing a theory like this?

Title of project : To prepare a portfolio on the history of soap manufacturing.

Question : Today, we bathe with soap and wash our clothes and dishes with detergent. We take soap and detergent for granted. We strated using soap only in the 1850s. Detergent wasinvented in the 1940s.Before that, clothes were washed through beating them with rocks at a nearby stream. People had to bathe without soap because soap was very expensive.

Procedure : Collect data on soap manufacturing from the early days until its large-scale productions in industries. You may refer to books, magazines, encyclopaedias, or Internet.

I've already collected the infomation about history of soap and soap manufacturing/process of making soap. All I need now is just the conclusion. Thank you for all of you who willing to read this and help me. Thank you very much.

The problem then wants to know the magnitude of the resulting force on the charge at the origin. It wants the answer in nN.

I worked through the problem and found that the force due to the top charge to be a magnitude of 5.86942 nN and the magnitude of the force from the right charge to be 6.99032 nN, resulting in a net force of 9.12769 nN. I was just wondering if these numbers looked right?
