The base of the prism is vertical equilateral triangle of side 1 + √3, and its depth is 1.
[The three balls can just tightly fit inside such prism , touching each other and the faces of the prism]

All surfaces are frictionless.
What is magnitude of force applied by the balls to the bottom face of the prism?

Okay, we didn't have time in class today to get to this section but have to do the homework. The question is...

In each case (I'm gonna give 2) write the following angles between 0 and (pi/2) inclusive or between 0 degrees or 90 degrees, as appropriate. For example, sin (5pi/4) = -sin (pi/4).

I do not understand what this is actually wanting me to do. Two of the problems are...

a) sin (3pi/2) Would that be -sin (pi/2) ???

b) sin 300 degrees. I have no idea

If you know any websites, that may be better than just giving the answer. Thanks

will it lower the temperature of the air? I know that areas of land around large bodies of water stay cooler, simply because water can absorb large amounts of heat without changing temperature. So by leaving bowls of water around the house in the morning, will this decrease the temperature in the house significantly later in the day, as it heats up?
I know there are probably calculations I could do as well, if anyone knows them....
thanks!

I'm pretty embarrassed about not knowing the answer to this right off the bat. But it is the first day of school, so I suppose this is forgivable. Anyway:
Two cars leave Springfield at noon and travel in opposite directions. If one car travels r mi/h and the other travels 1.5 times as fast, how far apart are the cars at 4:00 p.m.? Give the answer in simplest form in terms of r.
Please help me and explain how this is done so I will have something to base further studies of distance problems off of. Thank you.

Would it be possible to make a steel house, not a steel reinforced house but a steel boxed shape with windows and doors cut out and cladded with wood so that it looks nice. Surely it would be very safe and if it got caught up in a landslide you can just sit it in and enjoy the ride.

Since there is an absolute limit on velocity, it implies quantised distance and time. from this, if point B is directly between point A and C in space, why does on have to go through point B in getting from A to C. What is the role of matter in determining the associations of points of space? And can these associations are viewed as information? Since time cannot be observed without memory does this mean that time does not really exist without applications of energy or matter (which are the recording mechanisim of this universe). Will this also mean that without matter it will be possible to move directly from point A to C without traversing the inbetween.

Except for the formation of the Internet, I see little use for quarks, dark matter and the Higgs Boson in my daily life.
Am I missing a trick or could the billions already spent, been used for a practical use e.g. Cancer cure or developing the third world.
