Now that I get the funny anti-derivative part, (Muchas muchas gracias to Sean and MathGuy for that!), the answer I have to this problem is as follows:

The area between
y = sin(pi times x) and
y = x^2-x, x=2

is (4/pi) + 1 ....right?

Please show your work, if you don't mind! Thanks.

Theories of cat behavior

LAW OF CAT INERTIA
A cat at rest will tend to remain at rest, unless acted upon
by some outside force, such as the opening of cat food, or a
nearby scurrying mouse.

LAW OF CAT MOTION
A cat will move in a straight line, unless there is a really good
reason to change direction.

FIRST LAW OF CAT ENERGY CONSERVATION
Cats know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed and will,
therefore, use as little energy as possible.

All bags and boxes in a given room must contain a cat within the

A cat's desire to scratch furniture is directly proportional to the

Okay, if you go outside and light a firecracker it will explode and its pieces will come to rest. But according to the logic that apparently guides the universe they would not come to rest but accelerate outward and would never come to rest. Is the big bang theory a gross oversimplifacation of the orgins of the universe?

I apparently missed a BIG part of the Trig basics. I have to find values for example of Sin(375degrees) using things like 3/4 + 1/4 or sqrt3/4 - sqrt3/4, etc. I have no idea how to do this. I have a lot of these and an answer bank. I think if I can get on the right track I can do it!
Thanks.

to teach biology in college. Why do so many people want to be pre med. I laugh sometimes because I wouldn't want some of the people in my classes operating on me. I know someone that has a 2.4 cumlative gpa and is about to graduate and she says that is about to apply to med school. Why do so many people want to be doctors.

The demand equation for a certain type of printer is given by
D = -200p + 35,000
The supply equation is predicted to be
S = -p^2 + 400p – 20,000
Find the equilibrium price:

This is what I have come up with but I don't know which one is the right price:

D = S , solve for p

-200p + 35,000 = -p^2 + 400p – 20,000

p^2 - 600p + 15,000 = 0

p = 112.92
p = 487.08

Which one is the equilibrium price??
