Does it feel like falling endlessly, or like being on a roller coaster?

There's been some excitement lately with scientists in the UK revealing that they've been able to use meta-materials to create a positive Casimir Force. This got me thinking that if gravitons have a wavelength would it be possible to create a metamaterial that would have a negative refraction index for them?

think about the role geography plays in defining our cultures. the historic ones, the ancient ones, the powerful and the weak. where they lived dictated to a large degree who they traded with, interacted with, and conquered. even in today's global market, there are still marked cultural differences among the four points on the compass.

considering beliefs, languages, inventions and conventions, do you believe the diversity of cultures increases depending on their LONGITUDE with respect to each other, or their LATITUDE? give examples, how they differ, how they're similar.

Does anybody knows to explain me (qualitatively) why electromagnetic field exists in cladding layer even if the total internal reflection condition is satisfied?
Does it mean that for example: laser ray contains electromagnetic field beyond its visible track or what? It doesn't seems logical to me.

When propellors move fast, we are able to (kind of) see each individual blade move slowly, usually bluish on colour. At times, it is in the opposite direction of the actual blade movement.

If 9 is added to the original number, the new number will have the original digits reversed. Find the number. (Hint: let x = the tens digit and y = the ones digit, so that the value of the number is 10x + y).

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Okay my question is mathematical and I want to compare my calculations to someone else's.I'm doing it just for fun although I'm not that good at it.
Here's the situation:
In roulett there is an option of putting on different sections and each section contains 12 numbers. There are 3 sections plus the number zero which is not in any section. All together there are 37 numbers. If I put on 2 out of 3 sections each time I have a 65% chance winning, and since the payout is 3 times I loose one unit of money and win 2 units, alltogether if I hit a number i win one unit. On the other hand if the number is not in my sections I loose 2 units of money. So if I win 13 times out of 20 putting up the same amounts each time, then I end up loosing one unit.
My questions are:
What is the probability of me winning 13 times out of 20?
What is the probability of winning more than 13 times out of 20?
Does it change the probabilities if I keep changing sections or if I use the same 2 sections all the time?

Help! Issues such as loss of biodiversity /ozone and resource depletion/global warming/pollution..any environmental crisis.

I can only think that the global warming is a natural process and that the earth has gone through periods of warmer temperatures in the past and that scientific research have proven this to be the case?...help...any other suggestions would be appreciated

For those who aren't aware-- I'm not trying to imply that we shouldn't care about the earth.

Its just a group task Ive been giving to provide an insight on "the other side of the story"on environmental controversy
