I have astigmatism in the left eye. I have been wearing contacts for 10 years and my vision has become much worse in the last 4 years and MUCH worse in the last year. I am now 27. I have difficulty driving at night and my vision is poor on the basketball court (the lights or the glossed flooring blurr my vision). My guess is either keratoconus or diabetic retinopathy. I want to rule out keratoconus because my condition seems to be unilateral (only in my left eye). Also, I haven't had a blood-sugar test (I'm doing that in 3 weeks) so my money is on D.R. Has anyone heard about a case like this? Any help would be great because I'm starting to think I may lose vision completely one day if this keeps up. I also fear corneal transplantation (AAAHHH!!))) :)

A chemist observes that a particular compound decays continuously, and notes that 90% of the initial amount of the compound remains after 1 hour, 10 minutes. Estimate the half-life of the compound to the nearest minute.

could someone please show me step by step on how to do this?

It seems that everything is going wireless these days by using radio and infrared communication. Bluetooth is being put into most portable electronics, everyone including kindergarteners carry cell phones, laptops are all wi-fi ready, wireless mice and keyboards are sitting untethered on people's desks, but we are all still plugged in to the wall. (I know laptops break free from time to time, but as they get older, they tend to get plugged in more often.)

Will we see wireless transmission of power to our appliances any time soon? I realize that this has been done over very short distances, like rechargeable toothbrushes and recharging pads for portable electronics, but I want to know for distances from 1-50 feet. Or would it be too dangerous to have such huge quantities of power floating through the air? If we used directed energy, would people get fried it they crossed the beam? What do you think?

Here's my procedure on "Are dogs red-green color blind?":

1.) Take black and white photos of an assortment of colored paper to see what shade they are in black and white.

2.) Gather four jars. Wrap two pieces of paper that are the same color around two of the jars.

3.) Place a green background on a wall. Do same for red on next test.

4.) On the the other two jars, wrap a piece of green paper around it and red around the other.

4.) Put a treat in one jar and place the same colored jars on the ground. Train the dog to pick one jar.

5.) After dog is trained, switch one of the same colored jars with a green one. If the dog does not pick the green one the majority of the time (100 tests), then s/he cannot identify the jar. Therefore, not being able to SEE the color green.

6.) Repeat steps 1 - 5 except use the different colored jar being the color red.

Does this sound correct to you? If not, please elaborate on your idea. Thanks!

you are 27m from the bus.
you run your max speed of 12 m/s and at that moment, the bus begins to pull away.
the bus has a constant acceleration of 1.11 (m/s^2) and continues to accelerate until it reaches its speed of 15m/s when it travels at a constant speed.

how long does it take the bus to reach your running speed?

write an equation for your position vs. time and one for the position vs. time of the bus...

ANY help would be REALLY appreciated...

I'm in eighth grade chemistry & physics and this is the only problem i got left, it's a physics one,(acceleration, terminal velocity, gravity, stuff like the stuff on the worksheet...etc.), and there's no word bank, so any help is appreciated. I was thinking "projectile", but then they'd have to add an "a" after "is". Thx in advance, and please answer quickly.
