The real answer is who knows. The human race is entering into an era of speculation. Right now, scientists believe worst case this:
Polar ice caps melt
dump FRESH water into ocean
Oceanic currents that depend of ocean salt fail due to dilution of salinity
weather patterns change
earth climate not as stable
growing season unstable/shortened
violent storms more prevalent
crops cannot grow well
we have less food
sea levels may rise causing coastal flooding
As I said, in this world today when we cannot trust politicians, journalists, or even scientists, we must make up our own minds and I would say to err on the safe side. I would rather not find out how badly we can screw up this planet.

It really doesn't, its just another way of small group of people try to control the masses by giving them the big 'what if' scenario ...
The earth is always changing it changed eons before the first human being walked this earth. It changes when it wants to and it heals itself faster than most give it credit for..
but as long as a few throw data at the masses like they really know what they are talking about (its all guesses no matter how they slice it) you are going to have people all worked up about it and throw money into coffers of the enviromentalists. So they can get rich and fat and nobody notices their weight gains. I guess they dont' eat at McDonalds.
p.s. you notice the global warming peeps are only out in summer and late fall? duh!!! the global cooling peeps only come out in snow and then they hibernate until next January. ;-)

I know its not a direct answer to this but you could mention how its competing with the whole global dimming theory. Supposedly if it weren't for global dimming and it slowing down the effects of global warming then global warming would be doing much much more damage

As the world gets warmer, plants will not continue their regular growing cycle. We will all die one day from the sun's death rays.
