w is supported by a cable. The other end rests against the wall, where it is held by friction. The co-efficient of static friction between the walla nd the rod is .50. Determine the minimum distance,x,from point A at which an additional weight w(same as the weight of the rod) can be hung without causing the rod to slip at point A.

Okay my little sis' math hw... she doesn't get it.. lol... any tips for her? These are some Q's on it.

She sais there are 2 spinners. One with 5 parts. (2 striped, 2 with dots, 1 white) and another spinner with 3 parts. (A, A, and B parts).

Okay what is the Probability if you spin one not striped and an A. She sais she thinks it's 1/2 because it would be 4/8 and that is reduced to 1/2. Well, do you think she's right?

I have read in a science journal of a new method of environmentally friendly corpse disposal, where the body is actually frozen solid with liquid nitrogen & then placed in some kind of machine that combines violent high frequency vibration & ultrasonics to basically disentergrate the body to organic dust. Has anyone ever heard of this ? Apparently the Swiss are involved with the R&D & already sucessfully using it on animals , pets etc. Does not pollute ground with decomposing matter or pollute air with cremation & the remains take up much less space than conventional burial. I assume they remove all jewellery , what about artificial body parts i.e metal hips , knees , teeth fillings etc. They say it is environ friendly because the liquid nitro can be used again & again.

1. I'm still searching for the other 2 but I believe Flatworms= Gas exchange occurs across their body wall & there is Diffusion of O2 into the body & CO2 diffuses out.
