I'm fairly skeptical, but I did have one experience that I never found a comfortable explanation for.
I was dating this girl while I was in college. We had only been together a couple of weeks. Our college was several hundred miles from my parents.
One morning she starts telling me about a dream she had. She dreamed that I took her to meet my parents. She gives all these silly, giddy details but towards the end of her boring narrative she says that my father's hand was deformed and that kind of freaked her out.
Well...... my father's hand is disfigured. He nearly blew off his thumb in a hunting accident when he was young. It wasn't amputated but he did eventually lost the use of the thumb.
I hadn't shared that detail with my girlfriend and didn't have any pictures of my father that showed his hand.
I suppose it is within the realm of coincidence, but it still seems pretty bizarre.

Um... I kinda know when something isn't right or whatever, I probably have had prophetic dreams but never remember them except this one where I dreamt that my grandmother had passed away years before it actually happened. Me and my friends sort of always know what each other is thinking, and sometimes other people and me say the same thing at the same time or they'll repeat exactly what I said like three seconds later and psychic stuff is kinda normal to me so it doesn't really stand out to me. And explaining something that you personally haven't experienced is hard like trying to tell a blind person what the color blue looks like

i feel like i have a lot of prophetic dreams, because i often feel deja vu, even when i cannot remember the dream specifically, and sometimes after the event i remember the dream more specifically. i wish i could control this so that i would remember these dreams better first, although i do remember most of my dreams and keep a dream journal.
sometimes i do, and it's creepy...i definitely believe in prophetic dreams, although nothing i've ever experienced has been on a grand scale like the answers above.

A few expereinces yes. Some main ones are I dreamed 3 days in a row that John Lennon was talking with Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Morrison. 3 days after the 3rd dream John Lennon was shot and killed. Another was I was in a car with my dad I looked in the sky and said "that plane is going to crash" my dad said "why do you say that" "I don't know but It is" right after that the plane took a nose dive and fell into the roof of the supermarket we were passing. Dad took me home and said "you scare me"

Yeah it really sucks, when you could have saved someones life But you just put it off as impossible, so you never said anything to anyone, and then when you do tell some people and the event happens, then they, like are afraid of ya. it just sucks all the way around.

Yes, quite alot actually.
I just have people suddenly come to mind and then find out later something bad had happened in their lives.
I have had alot of prophetic dreams and one where my Grandma came to tell me she had to leave. I woke up at 4:12am and found out later that day that she died at that time.
My best friend died a few years ago and I see her in dreams telling me things that are going to happen, and they always do.
I have no idea why this happens to me, I just look at it as a God given gift. Also, I can't "summon" those things, they just happen.

The closest thing like that that happened to me, was about 2 years after I got out of college, I had a dream that a friend of mine from college (who I hadn't seen or spoken to in about a year) called me up and told me that my ex-boyfriend from college (who I hadn't seen or spoken to in over 2 years) had just gotten engaged. Less than a week later, the girl DID call me up and told me exactly that. It was VERY weird. No one would have believed me, except that I had told my best friend about the dream the day after I had it.

It is weird. I am considered by my friends to be telepathic, because I am NEVER wrong in any of those guess games and stuff. It feels just like an idea coming to your head. There is no real feeling to it.
