I am stuck on this problem and wondering if someone could offer some assistance. How does one find the individual values for Vb, Va, etc. without any given point charges. I've been using the equation delta(V)=-Ed and using that equation I was able to get A correct. It's not working for B and C though. I'm not sure how to determine the different potentials when I have no values for the point charges. Can anyone offer some assistance? I've been working on this problem for the better part of the last two days and I'm quite frustrated

The drawing shows a uniform electric field that points in the negative y direction; the magnitude of the field is 1600 N/C.

a) Determine the electric potential difference VB - VA between the points A and B.
The answer here is 0 V.

(b) Determine the electric potential difference VC - VB between the points B and C.
V

(c) Determine the electric potential difference VA - VC between the points C and A.
V

Here are some math problems i need help solving... ive been trying to solve ones like these but just dont undersand it and my brain completely turned off from about a billion others like these.

1.The perimiter of a circle equals 6 pi, what is the area of the circle?

2. A race track has 1km, a bike weel has a radius of .5 m. How many turns does the wheel have to make to go around the track?

3. Simplify:
(1-sin^2 a)
over =
1- cos^2 a

4. Simplify:
tg a * cos a

5.Simplify:
1 + tg^2 a

6.Simplify:
(1 - sin a) * (1+sin a)
OVER
(sin a) * (cos a)

7. Solve:
tg 60
OVER - sqrt of 3
ctg 45 - sin 30

8. Solve:
sin 30 + cos^2 45
OVER
2 - tg 45

9. Solve:
4 cos 60 - 3tg^2 30
OVER - ctg 45
sin 45 * cos 45

10. Solve:
sin 30 * cos 30 * tg 30 * ctg 30

The second law of thermodynamics, like no other physical law, defines a direction of time. All other laws are time-reversal invariant, meaning they are valid despite which direction time flows. Why is this so? What does this say about time?

Between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the minute hand of a clock exactly overlaps the hour hand. Many people say it is around 3:15 PM (approximately), but what is the exact time when this happens?

When people eat too much carbs, and the glucose level rises too high, the body will convert the excess glucose to glycogen (which is stored in the liver?) and triglycerides (fat?).

Does the liver go... ok, this batch of glucose will become glycogen. Then when the next batch comes in, it goes, well, now I feel like some triglycerides. Or are both the output of the same process?

If they are not result of the same process, how does the liver know when to make glycogen and when to make triglycerides?

Thanks.

I'm taking a biology class this semester. We've touched on evolution here and there. Today, we talked about origins of life. I've heard the argument of certain elements combining to create amino acids which can lead to life forms. The professor said that the new supported theory is that life actually came from a meteor or something in outer space. That just seems a little more far fetched to me. Amino acids make sense, and, considering the process has been duplicated in a lab, makes me wonder why people are suddenly supporting the new sci-fi-esque theory. What do you think about both? What do you think is more likely?

I don't want any creation answers here. If you have something to say about evolution being a lie or creation being the only way or some such, please redirect your attention somewhere else. I'm not interested.
