The word is "capital," whoever said it was "capitol" is obviously an idiot because the difference between the two is even spelled out on the reference page they gave. A "capitol" is a building that houses government, not the city housing the building that houses government.
I'm pretty sure there isn't even a town in Illions named Boise, so not only is it the capital of Idaho but there is no way, short of a miracle in governance of a federal republic, that it could be the capital of Illinois.
And yes the capital of Illinois, if that is what you meant by Illions, is Springfield.

Springfield is the capital of the State of Illinois and the county seat of Sangamon County. The city was founded in 1819, became the county seat in 1823, and received its city charter in 1840. i turn the question over a few times as i gave a thumbs up to Springfield but one guy was a hold out with Chicago and in a strange misunderstanding of money power and corruption i gave his answer a thumbs up too-some of us here that get it both ways are always wondering if it is daily or blego and where did it all that money go to make a capital out of corruption

Springfield. Boise has never been one of the capitols of Illinois; Kaskaskia was the first; Vandalia was the second; Springfield became the third capitol in 1839 and still is.
Note that the state is spelled "Illinois" and you mean "capitol" not "capital."
