The marks so far are:

1st: 20/55 = 91%
2nd: 19/28 = 68%
3rd: 9/20 = 45%
4th: 14/20 = 70%

Now take 5% of these marks and add them:

1st: 5% X 91 = 4.55
2nd: 5% X 68 = 3.40
3rd: 5% X 45 = 2.25
4th: 5% X 70 = 3.50

So the total marks are: 13.7%

Hope this helps.

Total marks to date = 62
Possible marks = 90

% marks to date =62/90 x 100 =68.9%

Oops I did'nt see your first bit about the course work
90 marks is 20% of the coursework so 100% will be 450marks
he has scored 62 already so to date he will be on

60/450 x 100 = 13.3 % Sorry,eyes getting old.

Work out the percentage he earned on each test by division and multiplying by 100.

Then take the four marks and add them and then divide by 4.
