My husband thinks that because identical twins have different finger prints then they don't have identicle DNA. I thought that identical twins were the same egg and same sperm but later the egg splits into two after being fertillised. This would make the twins have exactly the same DNA wouldn't it? Every finger has a different print on it, I mean your 8 fingers and thumbs would have different prints.

When goofing around with a magnet, one will find that some small stuff (with some Fe in it) will become magnetized (to whatever degree).

What would be required to magnetize something of pretty substantial size - like a fire hydrant or a manhole cover or the side of a car ?

All kinds of stuff could be magnetized - just for laughs - if it's practical to do so. (I don't need admonitions about the potential damage/problems that magnets can cause).

And would it stay magnetized ?

OKay, pleeeassse don't attack me, i don;t mean to insult christianity, god, or anything like that, i just want to ask an honest question. For the people who belive in the possibility of aliens, have you ever thought, that a person who came to earth so...enlightened, so advanced in his thought of peace for humanity, and claimed to be so understanding....maybe its possible he's an alien....but don't think of 'alien' as little green men. you have to think of it in other terms, like, of another matter in the universe...err, it kinda hard to explain my reasoning for my question, but please try to understand without being blatantly mean!

Oscar, Dodong, and Jimmy are three friends. Their last names are Santos, Paterno and Ramos, but necessarily in that order.
They all spent shopping one Saturday. Oscar spent exactly twicw as much as Dodong; and Dodong spent exactly twice as much as Jimmy. Santos spent exactly P12.65 more than Ramos.
What is each person's full name?

Many people are interested in losing weight through exercise. An important fact to consider is that a person needs to burn off 3,500 calories more than he or she takes in to lose 1 pound, according to the American Dietetic Association. The following table shows the number of calories burned per hour (cal/h) for a variety of activities, where the given value are based on a 150 pound person.

Joggin - 5 mi/h then 740 cal/ h

then my question is
How many hours of jogging at 5 mi/h would be needed for a 200-pound person to lose 5 pounds? (Again, assume calorie consumption is just enough to maintain weight, with no activity.)
