My TV makes an annoying high pitch humming sound whenever it is on, even if I mute the sound. I am pretty sure it is a result of a buildup of static electricity. Is there any way I can dissipate this static electricity or do anything else to make my TV stop making the high pitch noise?

I have found that some textbooks and encyclopedias say yes while others say no.
If yes, what make them organelles?
If no what makes them not organelles? is it the lack of a membrane?

Is there an equivalent of human growth hormone or any method to accelerate the growth rate of tree?

If we can speed up the rate of commerically logged trees of high value , e.g. rosewood, ebony. etc, there would be very beneficial environmentally(no more logging in the rainforest), not to mention the commerical value.

I was not able to find anything other than an article in Discover magazine about a Chinese shrug that has been selectively bred to increase grow rate by two fold. Other than that, I found nothing through the routes of genetic engineering or molecular mechanism.

Does anyone know any researcher or any company currently working on this problem/

Canada's annual seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet. In 2006 the Canadian government allowed fishermen to club and shoot at least 354,344 seals in the North Atlantic—almost all of them babies as young as 12 days—just to earn a few extra bucks by selling seal skins. 98% of the seals killed were 3 months old or younger and veterinary reports indicate that many seals have been skinned while still conscious and still able 2 feel pain. the next hunt comences in a couple of months, is there anything we can do to stop it?

ok a donkey and a mule were carrying sacks of apples. The donkey groaned so the mule said to him: "why are you complaining? If you gave me one sack, I would have twice as many as you; if I gave you one of my sacks, then we would have equal loads."
How many sacks was each carrying?
