I want to put a more energy efficient bulb in a fixture that is rated for 40w incandescent. I am worried about the halogen getting too hot and catching on fire (as they are prone to). I realize the 40w incandescent is about 480 lumens and the 25w halogen is 300 lumens. This would be sufficient brightness for me. I wanted to know if the halogen would stay cooler, being only 25w?

If a pipeline has an entrance of 2’ and exit of 1', water flows into the entrance at 100ft/sec. The pressure at the entrance is 200lbs/ft2 what is the velocity and pressure at exit? (Density of water is 62 lb/ft3). I know I need to use Bernoulli's Principle but I do just not understand how to plug in the numbers

If space is infinite and the universe is expanding in that "empty space" starting from the supposed "big bang" theory that would have started from a finite amount of matter that was "extremly" dense. Assuming that the whole universe doesn't collapse upon itstelf .... would matter eventually loose cohesion at an atomic level and cease to exist?
