Some countries have 220v with 5A. We have 110v with 10A I guess. Why so? I have always noticed that the equipments (like washing machines ) that operate on 110v with 10A are much more powerful than 220v with 5A. So what is the purpose of increasing just the voltage?

my teacher in trig told us a problem that is on the SAT. the question is a diagram. its 4 people that are trying to cross the bride to the other side of the clift its at night so they have a flash light but they cant see the bridge but the bride can only support 2 people at a time so two people have to go and one othem comes back with the flashlight . they are 4 people one is 10 minutes, 5 min, 2 min, 1min
the time has to take 17 min and when the person goes back with the flashlight you add one min.and when you send two people over to the other side you have to add the minutes of the highest one so if you sent the 10 and the 5 you would only add the 10 min one so please help me with this and no you cant push one off the clift or give one a piggy back ride

How would a fifth dimensional reality look like? Do you think that the four dimensions is the borderline between finite and "super finite" realities as far as space and time are concerned...?

When resting, a particular person has a resting metabolic rate of about 3.0 x 105 joules per hour.
The person is submerged neck-deep into a tub containing 1.2 x 103 kg of water at 21.0 °C. If the heat
from the person goes only into the water, find the water temperature after half an hour.

A car of weight 2720 N operating at a rate of 156 Kw develops a maximum speed of 31 m/s on a level, horizontal road.
Assuming that the resistive force (due to friction and air resistance) remains constant, what is the car's maximum speed on an incline of 1 in 20, i.e. if @ (theta) is the angle of the incline with the horizontal, sin @ = 1/20? Answer in units of m/s

A 172 kg crate is pulled along a level surface by an engine. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the crate and the surface is 0.496. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s2
How much power must the engine deliver to move the crate at a constant speed of 7.53 m/s? Answer in units of watts.

Today I found an orange spider whose body was about the size of a quarter. The body/back of it was round and it had a white stripe running down the middle.(front to back) Looked like it could have been a series of white dashes.(didnt get that close) There were also 4 small black patches on its back that were on each side of white line..one was upper left..lower left of line and vice versa on right side of line. Never have I seen such a spider before. Any ideas? Oh, and its legs looked hairy and brown!
