You are confronted with the following formula:

A * [(B + C)(D - E) - F(G*H) ] / J = 10

Knowing that each variable is a unique, single-digit, nonzero number, and that C - B = 1, and H - G = 3, what is the number ABCDEFGHJ, where each letter is a digit? For example, if A = 4, B = 2, and C = 7, ABC would equal 427.

I was at a quiz last night, the question was: What is the worlds largest mammal.

I answered blue whale, apparently I was wrong and the answer is giraffe? I dispute this though, as a blue whales Tongue alone is the same size as an elephant?

Surely HEIGHT wise a giraffe is smaller than a whale? I know the whale is extremely long, but on land a whale would be taller than the giraffe? What you think?

Also when overhead, it seems to stay there for an unreasonable length of time.
I know that the earth is inclined by 23.4 deg and the moon's orbit is inclined at 5.1 deg so at most the difference in angular height above the horizon is 2 x (23.4 + 5.1) = 56.2 deg.
Why does it appear to vary by more like 70 deg?

Take the example of a pigeon, eating a few grams of seeds. Are the calories sufficient to fuel the bird to fly for kilomtres ?
Could there be another mechanism helping birds to fly ? and the wings only provide steering ?
After all, the birds are decendents of dinosours ?
They have been physically evolving the longest among other species !

i don't remember much about this, but i have the idea that one describes the micro and the other the macro end of the universe. but i also remember hearing that the 2 theories fundamentally disagree with each other. given that the universe is (perhaps) a single whole, how can this be?
