Guv =( Lamda/energy density of space) x Tuv,
doesnt it relate to Newton Universal gravity constant and also to the curvature of mass as well?

An Austrailian Astronomer was the first to notice it 40 years ago and it said in the article it would take a hundred years to hit the earth but the Americans think its now only about twenty five years away, the Americans have been concentrating on removing the threat. It seems they are going to try to tilt it off couse, the asteroid is half a mile wide. Have any of you heard about the asteroid and has it got a name.

A BD Company purchases chains from a third party supplier. The chains are required to be within 0.25” of 54 inches in order to work properly. If the chains are too slack or too tight the derailleur won't work. Chains are supplied by the BJ Company and the individual links are not exactly uniform. They fluctuate around a mean length of 0.5”, with a standard deviation of 0.01”.

- How many links should be strung together to form a chain?

- What proportion of the chains would meet BD's standards?

- Supposed BJ Company wished to reduce the proportion of chains that failed to meet Bridgestone’s standards to one third the current value to what value would they have to change the standard deviation of the length of the individual chain links?

Any ideas?!

Thanks in advance!

I remember several years back hearing of a study done on plants, where some sort of electro-detection machine (sorry for my vagueness, for I was in middle school at the time and had bigger things to worry about than the exact method of this test) was used to check for any sign of fear in plants.

Then, one girl in the class was selected to kill one of the plants sitting in a group of them. After that, the class was lined up to parade by the row of surviving plants, and there was a spike in the meter of the plants when the girl who killed the one plant marched near. Supposedly, this was to find if plants could fear death, or something of the like.

Has any one else heard of this experiment? Would anyone know the name to it? Or where I could find the details of it?

Thank you for your time.
