This is interesting (I watched the entire thing), but it makes some flaws. First, though, let me point out that Rene Descartes made the assumption that we experience based only on our senses and that we rely on them being correct. This led to his statement "I think, therefore I am", because it was the only thing he could prove merely by his existence (our senses could be deceiving us).

The problem is, this video jumps to several conclusions without offering any proof.

First, it points out that our senses are experienced in the brain which is entirely away from the outside world. That is true, and it goes on to state that (for example, vision) is perceived from light waves from an object which enter the eye, are converted to electrical signals, and sent to a part of the brain. That, too, is true. However, it then goes on as if the assumption that these objects may not be real is definitive. This is flawed. There is no proof that these object do not exist. This makes the entire rest of the video a giant assumption that eventually tries to prove that Allah is continually creating the universe (if you didn't watch the whole thing, it is a video trying to use science, or flaws in it, to prove Islam).

I have every reason to believe that matter is a real thing. Why? This video goes on to talk about dreams and how people can dream about being a pilot, which brings up a secnod flaw. Why a pilot? Because we already have a perception of what a pilot is, where he would be located (at the controls of a planet, etc.). Why not something truely original, something that does not exist? Because you can't. As a writer pointed out in a book on creative writing, you cannot truely create something new out of your head, you always rely on things you already know. Create a new animal: you have the head of a lion, the legs of a cat, the tail of a snake, etc. But you haven't really created anything new, you've only put things we already know about together in a new fashion.

There have been a theory put forth that our universe is holographic, but not in the sense portaryed here. The idea is called "branes", and our universe is some sort of imprint from a higher dimension, it is not some dreamworld being fed into our brain.

I will grant that in theory we could hook a computer up to specific centers of a persons brain and get them to believe they were real (as in "The Matrix"), and conceivably God could do that. But the idea that it could be done, does not prove it (and does not make it science, either).

I could only handle the first half of the video. According to the material presented, if I suddenly go blind due to nerve damage, the whole universe disappears, not just for me, but for everyone else as well.

What a crock of metaphysical c*** !

Wow that was really cool, a real eye opener. Everything we percieve is just electrical signals inside the brain, similar to the ones when we dream. How do we know we are awake or asleep? scary stuff, i stopped the video when he started talking about a higher being. Ha codswallop. Thanks for finding the video.

I can not answer this because you do not exist, therefore you could
not have written the question which I can not see.

Once again we have theories being tauted as facts.

My suspicions have been confirmed. There is no intelligent life on
the Internet.

Also I think your brain is fracking with your mind.
