I was wondering about humans in particular, but most mammals have their sense organs and brains all located in a head. From an evolutionary standpoint it seems unwise to cluster so much vital anatomy together like that, but I'm sure there's a sound, scientific reason for it. I just... can't find one :\

I have two rolls left ... should I roll the 1 and the extra die for an open ended straight possibility or should I just roll the extra die twice for a gutshot straight possibility?

This is one question.. A sled weighing 60.0 N is pulled horizontally across snow so that the coefficient of kinetic friction between the sled and the snow is .100. A penguin weighing 70.0 N rides on the sled. If the coefficient of static friction between the penguin and the sled is .700, find the maximum horizontal force that can be exerted on the sled before the penguin begins to slide off.

I already tried to solve this one:

cot^4 X + cot^2X = csc^4 X - csc^2 X

I couldn't get to the answer, what I did was:

cot^2 X ( cot^2 X + 1)
cot^2 X - csc^2 X

cos^2 X csc^2 X
--------- - ---------
sin^2 X

But I can't get any further, any suggestions or ideas on how to solve this ?

Any dimensions that you can tell me would be helpful. For example, how high, wide, deep was that civilization.

You know, after it's been embalmed, you've had the funeral and it's been put in the casket laid to rest in the dirt, how long does it take until it starts to decay? And what happens to your eyes and tongue and stuff like that?
