I understand that alcohol is metabolized in the system by about a drink an hour. So, if I drink a drink an hour for say 12 hours, how harmful is this to my health, considering that one an hour should mean less in the system at any given time?

In most businesses, increasing prices of their product can have a negative effect on the number of customers of the business. A bus company in a small town has an average number of riders of 1,000 per day. The bus company charges $2.00 for a ride. They conducted a survey of their customers and found that they will lose approximately 50 customers per day for each $.25 increase in fare.

This is all that I was given. Thanks so much to whomever can help.

Studies show that global warming has nothing to do with what we do to the atmosphere, but is a normal natural phenomenon that reoccures about every 500 years So we should not become so fanatical and make it a political issue, because it is no ones fault.
The study also said that in the 90's there was a volcano eruption that put a layer of ash over the atmosphere that caused the whole area below it to cool down. As long as we have to deal with this totally natural situation, what would be a good solution?

Apparently there are scientific facts proving it never happened. What are these facts?
One that I've heard is that there's no wind there, although in the tv footage the flag is 'blowing'.
What are your thoughts?

I'm trying to produce an equation that will provide the results, below. The first column is "x". The second column, "y", is the result I'm looking to produce with the equation.

So, for example, when x = 23, the equation should produce an answer of 92. When x = 12, the equation should produce a result of 840. When x = 4, the equation should produce 1080... and so on. Here is the full list of values (the columns are only separated by a space because Yahoo! Answers won't let me create columns):

0 1104
1 1104
2 1100
3 1092
4 1080
5 1064
6 1044
7 1020
8 992
9 960
10 924
11 884
12 840
13 792
14 740
15 684
16 624
17 560
18 492
19 420
20 344
21 264
22 180
23 92
24 0

..can anyone help me with this one?

Thanks a whole whole whole bunch!

Jamie

In electric motors and speakers and other devices using an electomagnet or solenoid, what is it that switches the polarity of the magnet?

I know how electomagnets and the left-hand rule work. But what is in the devices that switches the poles? I know it changes the direction of the DC but how does it do that?

I know some engineers that try out new designs and then put them into production without working out the "bugs." Now, I know that sometimes the bugs don't often come out before hand but give me a break, you make the big bucks! They (the engineers) just don't seem to care about the small stuff until someone has cut their finger off or the product falls on someone! Do they not teach practical engineering anymore? Does anyone feel the same as me, or am I in the minority here?
