Yes, that would be the Monumental Axis running for 1.5 miles from the Municipal Plaza to the Plaza of the Three Powers in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. The six lane boulevard was opened in April 1960 and is 820.2 feet wide !

On one of these tourist bus things in Dublin, the tour guide said O'Connell Street, Dublin is the widest street in the world but were challenged by French tourists once saying the Champs Alysse, Paris is wider.
The Irish went over to France and measured it, and found that it is indeed wider. But is technically an avenue.
So, officially, (by Irish rules) the Champs Alysse, Paris is the widest avenue in the world but O'Connell Street, Dublin is the widest street in the world.
However it looks like the 9 de Julio Avenue in Buenos Aires, Argentina is bigger still. At 140 metres, it is one of the world’s widest avenues. Its name honours the Argentine Independence Day (July 9, 1816).
I don't think the Brazil one should technically win as it's 2 8-lane avenues bridged by a bit of grass in between.
