Years ago I was on the net browsing the news and one peculiar article online caught my eye (June 20, 2002):

http://archives.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/east/06/20/china.aliens/index.html

I had forgotten about it afterwards, unfortunately. But recently I recalled the memory and set out to look for this article again.
There have not been any follow up articles to date. I've found nothing.
So to my question,
Did they find something there that was to be kept secret...?
Was the investigation hard on funds and canceled?
Or did they find nothing, and then decide to head back, but didn't bother opening up to the press or any source about this?

Clearly I'm not the only one interested in this.. a couple of forums I've found have been posing some of the same questions..
SO! I come to you, yahoo answers, to calm my geek soul! This is one mystery I'm in need of solving ^_~

Thank yew!!

I did some research on zombies in fiction because I was bored mindlessly. I then noticed Article 246 in the Haitian Penal code from 1835. It stated that administering a substance that induces prolonged periods of lethargy without causing death is considered attempted murder because of the fact that the person would be buried prematurely. This made me wonder if this chemical actually existed... or if this was just a typical Voodo myth.

It is thought that cheetahs evolved in North America within the last three million years. That means they must have crossed the Bering land bridge during the Ice Ages in order to spread to Asia and Africa. I understand there were larger species of cheetahs in the past, but I have a hard time believing cheetahs were ever hardy enough to survive in Ice Age Beringia. I mean, they're not exactly woolly. Was there a cheetah species adaptated to cold that is now extinct?

Your cells, skin cells, blood cells, the flesh of your organs, only last a little while, and then new ones form and begin replacing them and eventually you have none of the original cells left, so you aren't even constructed of the same pieces of matter anymore. It's kind of weird to think about, because you're a totally new person. How long does that process take?
