A tightrope is stretched 30 feet above the ground between the Jay & the Tee buildings which are 50 feet apart. A tightrope walker, walking at a constant rate of 2 feet per second from point A to point B, is illuminated by a spotlight 70 feet above point A.

a) How fast is the shadow of the tightrope walker's feet moving along the ground when she is midway between the buildings?

b) How far from point A is the tightrope walker when the shadow of her feet reaches the base of the Tee building?

c) How fast is the shadow of the tightrope walker 's feet moving up the wall of the Tee building when she is 10 feet from point B?

How much heat is released to the surroundings when 4.07 g of aluminum reacts with excess iron(III) oxide to give aluminum oxide and metallic iron? (The heats of formation of iron(III) oxide and aluminum oxide are -822 kJ/mol and -1670. kJ/mol, respectively.)

I think this is 64kj but why do you have to devide 128 by 2 to get 64? why isnt the answer just 128?

I heard that the universe is constantly expanding, well if the universe is constantly expanding then matter and energy must be expanding with it, so if a person was able to travel back say 5000 years in the the past would his atomic mass be altered do to the fact that the universe of 5000 years ago would be more dence than it is today, if it was altered what would the results be?
