A number is called a decreasing number if it has two or more digits and each digit is less than the digit to its left. For example, 7421, 964310, and 52 are decreasing numbers, but 3421, 6642, 8, and 963212 are not. how many decreasing numbers are there?

A yam is put in a hot oven, maintained at a constant 200°C. Suppose that at the moment t = 30 minutes, the temperature T of the yam is 120°C, and it is increasing at 2°C/min. Newton's Law of Warming tells us that the yam's temperature at time t is given by the formula T(t) = 200-ae^(-bt), where a and b are constants. Find a and b.

The profit margin for pharmaceuticals must be amazing. Actually, I know the answer to that. I worked for a major pharmaceutical and know that their profit margin is consistently high. Over 20% in some cases. Amazingly high.

I thought the voltage value was dependant on the current V=IR so how can the voltmeter measure the voltage with little current running through it. Same for the ammeter to measure I (current) without potential difference(voltage) between the terminals. I jsut don't get that part. Trying to get ready for my Physics II test. I know I'm looking at it the wrong way. Help me!

So approximate 3rd sqrt(1.1). Let f(x) = 3rd sqrt(x), the equation of the tangent line f(x)=1 can be written in the form y=mx+b.
Find m: Find b: And using this information approximate 3rd sqrt(1.1). Can anyone help me do this. I have found the slope to be 1/3 but I have no idea how to do the last two parts. Please Help.

thanks
