Drinking excessive amounts of alchol will bring the spining back.

This "sensation" is not caused by the bones in your ear, but is directly related to nerve damage (and in the case of alcohol, confused signals due to chemical imbalance).

How could you get it back? Well, you would need to damage your eighth cranial nerve (CN VIII - Vestibulocochlear nerve), specifically on the Vestibular branch. Injuries like this are often caused by whiplash or falls on the head.

The real question is, "Do you really want to get this sensation back?"

If you think about it intelligently, the answer would probably be "no". You see, the sensation may seem "cool" because it is different. But if it persists for a long time, it can cause difficulties in lifestyle and everyday tasks.

I think you are very fortunate to have had an injury minor enough to heal without intervention. However, my girlfriend had an injury to her vestibulocochlear nerve which has persisted in giving her problems. She has difficulty riding in vehicles because the constant motion makes her head spin.

So, you should be happy that you got to experience the different sensation for a short while, but even happier that you are able once again to function normally.
