Teachers state that the circumference of a circle is 2*pi*r. However, pi is irrational, so therefore so is the circumference of a circle, so can we ever know the circumference of a circle?

I've been watching the Shuttle and ISS orbit for years now, it's a hobbie of mine. One thing eludes me; Why do they zigzag North and South while they orbit?
I've asked NASA but they must be too busy to answer.

An answer for an answer. i.e. STS-115. STS stands for, Space Transportation System.

Thank you,
Loser

a) infra-red spectroscopy
b)low-resolution proton n.m.r spectroscopy

Although the relative molecular mass of bromoethane is 109, there is no peak at m/z=109 in its mass spectrum. Equally sized peaks at m/z=108 and m/z 110 do, however occur. Explain these observations.

Why would we need this referrance if there are no other 'beings' out in the universe? Doesn't it mean that there must be others living out there in this endless universe? (eg. Martians, Venusians, Mercurians etc.?)

Suppose you have two proteins in a stable complex, with opposite charges alligning perfectly so that the complex is really stable. Now, suppose that a few of these charges change to a hydrophobic side chain.... . What are the implications --- this deals with polymorphisms, i believe.

2x^2 - 5x + 11 = 2[(x - 5/4)^2 - 25/16 + 11/2]
= 2[(x - 5/4)^2 + 63/16]
= 2[(x- 5/4)^2 + 63/8

I understand the top line of this equation but the rest confuses me! Can someone explain how to get from 25/16 + 11/2 then to 63/16 and to 63/8 in the last line. Thanks!

Hi I work for a small company and need some help.
My predesesor left me with some VERY poor notes.
we use a small part that has been nickle plated.
The nickle must be removed on one portion only.
This is done with a sulferic acid bath lined with lead and energizing the part as the cathode @ 17 volts DC for twenty minutes.
Typically after the deplating proccess I apply one drop of nitric acid to the desired area to be deplated. I then wipe off the nitric acid with a small piece of filter paper. Then I place one drop of the indicator solution on the filter paper and check the color of this reaction.(brown= good) (red=nickle still present)
My problem is I am almost out of indicator solution and I can not determine it's make up.
I have a list telling me what the make up is but only have been able to identify two of the four chemicals involved.

indicator solution;
10 grams-NH4CH2COOH = Unknown
60 ml. - CH3COOH = acetic acid glacial
1 gram - DICH3COOH = Unknown
30 ml. - NH4OH = ammonium hydroxide

Any ideas as to what my unknowns are?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY Appreciated

Hi,

I live in Florida and I would like some personal highlights about being an LPN, or RN.
I am especially interested in stories posted by other Floridians. Please share where you work, how long, your wages, etc, if you do not mind. I have been trying to go back to school, but have been busy with children and my current employment. I recently got an offer of management at my current place of work and I am considering it. But this would leave no time for school. I am weighing my options and really want to be a nurse. Also, I just turned 29 and feel this new sense of urgency. I work behind the scenes in retail (warehouse) and it's just not something I can see myself doing forever, but the pay and benefits are excellent for management. I would greatly appreciate real opinions/stories by nurses themselves or people very close or living with someone who is a nurse.
Thank you so much!

I don't need answers, I need help and an explanation. Also, can you check if these 2 are right?
For example
1) .560 = 10^2
2)1.01 * 10^2 = 101
