It seems odd that people are not interested in solving any of the approximately seven long-term health decay problems detailed at http://www.sens.org/just7.htm

It seems to me like we should be spending at least at least 5 billion worldwide annually to investigate how these problems can be solved.

People don't have a problem accepting that we can cure cancer over the next couple centuries. Yet, the most age-related problems are just as solvable and some are less complicated.

Aspirin, C9H8O4, is produced from salicylic acid, C7H6O3, and acetic anhydride, C4H6O3, as shown below.

C7H6O3 + C4H6O3 C9H8O4 + HC2H3O2

(b) How much salicylic acid would be required if only 53% of the salicylic acid is converted to aspirin?

(c) What is the theoretical yield of aspirin if 159 kg of salicylic acid is allowed to react with 149 kg of acetic anhydride?

(d) If the situation described in part (c) produces 163 kg of aspirin, what is the percentage yield?

I asked this question and did not get enough info to solve the problem. I am not asking for anyone to solve this ..but could I please have some order on how to set this problem up? This has had me stumped for the past week..any help would be greatly appreciated!

A certain paint has a density of 0.914 g/mL. You need to cover a wall that is 7.6 meters long and 2.74 meters wide with a layer of paint that is 0.13 mm thick. What volume of paint (in liters and gallons) is required? What is the mass (in grams and pounds) of the paint layer?

thanks!

I asked a question 4 days ago, about the idea of evolution and how silly it can be when one studies the "deep" things. One "scientist" wrote this:
"I as a scientist do have an open mind, and so my challenge to you still stands - when this question has ended no matter who you or voters pick as the best answer - please leave a VALID alternate THEORY on how life has changed through time!"

This is what makes me laugh about the evolutionary "scientists" notice the OPEN MIND admission, then notice the challenge...
"""please leave a VALID alternate THEORY on how life has changed through time!"""

Isn't that ASSUMING that LIFE CHANGED through time??!!

Come ON MAN!! How is that an OPEN MINDED QUESTION?!?!
That is like me saying, Have you stopped beating your wife? You CAN'T answer against, if you say yes, you admitted to beating her, if you say NO, you admit you are beating her

Evolutionary scientists, many of them, SAY they have an open mind, and actually think they are, but

I hate that!

At what state in life does the average person start "feeling" older?

I am going that route too.

Please IM me if you can...and only IF you know the right questions to ask. to help me get to the bottom of this....

Thank you!

with 2 carbon papers inserted - what i write on the topmost paper theoretically should appear verbatim in all the other copies, clear and unchanged. But it did not happen that way, it appeared with streaks and scratches and blemishes it only got my hands messy without serving its intended purpose. I thought to myself "Goddammit this is a bank and you need to keep proper records". If this is the way you are handling your own records how will you handle my money?

Why doesnt IISC, IIT and self-proclaimed intelligence institutes design an alternative to carbon paper? What you write on one paper should appear the same clearly in all the other copies. Tons of government carbon paper making the hands messy will be disposed of.

Hi, i don't know how to do these 3 problems, please give me a help
1. Solve for x:
log 5 (5^2x) = 8

2. log x^3/2 - log (square root x) = 5

3. ln (1/x) + ln (2x^3) = ln 3

For number 1 the answer on the back of the book is 4,#2 is 10^5,and #3 is square root 3/2,i can't get any of those answers, please tell me how to get those answers.
Showing all the steps will be better for me to understand completely, thanks!!

Simplify

(-8y) + 3 + ( -X) + Y - ( -2X)

(X+1) ( -7 )

-6 (X-1)

(X+5)(-8)

-8(X+1)

25=5(X-4)

40=10(X+8)

1/6 ( 18X+18) = 12

I believe in Creation and it upsets me that my ignorant BIO teacher is trying to tell me that I evolved from a stupid monkey! HELLO, time does NOT make impossible things possible! *durh* How can you prove it though? I mean I know the Bible says that evolution is wrong, but what proof?

Oh fo sho Darwin has issues. He was mentally ill. He even admitted it. so why should we believe what he thought?

Caucasoid, *******, Mongoloid, Australoid, Capoid? I personally think there are more. I think there are about 5 or more different African sub species that I have seen, some that look more white, and some asian( It's silly to say South Africans with eye folds and similar facial structure to Asians are the same race as Ethiopians, or West Africans. I wouldn't group native indians with Mongoloids anymore even if they descended from Asians. I wouldn't group all Native Indians together either you can find many different sub species from North to South America. I wouldn't group Native Austrailians with South or North Indians. There are genetic differences between Hawaians and the Chinese for example. You even originally had different races of caucaians some that look somewhat Asian and some that look more ******* in facial structure like Mick Jagger. How many can you count? Please no stupid or irrelevant answers like 4 or it doesn't matter we're all humans.
