Here is your debating point.
Wireless Network is also known as Wireless LAN and is a supplement to Wired Network or also known as wired LAN with the following justification.
1. Wireless LAN will now work if without the LAN point
2. Wired network is more secure.
3. WLAN can be hacked though it has the WEP and NAT as a security
4. Wired network coverage up to 150 meter from the switch / hub
5. WLAN coverage up to 150 meter radius but depending if the obstacle is thick. Ex. you wil get only 90meter radius if in a 4" brickwall
6. Wired network is faster .. up to 1GBps but Wireless LAN can only go to 54MBps
7. Wireless LAN of version B (802.11b) generally acceptable by aall country because it is on the S.O.S bandwith but in limited of 11Mbps. Version A (802.11a) Generally unacceptable by 80% of the countries due to its bandwith not on the S.O.S and is not free of charge.
8. If going for intranet used, wireless network is always slower especially when you want to access local SRP system, MRT system or etc.
9. Parts and component for wired network is cheap (if cable cost is ignored)
Hope this help..

Security: A wired connection offers a more secure connection since data is not being transmitted through the air. WiFi has encryption, but that encryption can be easily cracked for the tech savy/ determined intruder. Although it is very unlikely for this to happen, it is possible. Reliability: A wired connection offers a more stable connection where WiFi is susceptable to interferance and random signal loss. Speed: Most WiFi connections have slower network speeds than wired. B is 11Mbps, G is 54Mbps while ethernet is 100Mbps. Wireless N and upcoming WiFi offers fast connections, that can easily be trumped by a Gibabit wired connection at 1000Mpbs. Wired is much better for high-bandwidth needs (like streaming video and online game play).

Wireless:
Pros: Portability, In some cases cheaper, Can support up to hundreds of connections per router (although I wouldn't do this), Can be used when wired networks are impossible or difficult to install.
Cons: Slower speed, Security issues without encryption (which can further reduce speed), Signal strength and interference (microwaves, home phones, etc.).
Wired
Pros: Speed, Security, In most cases cheaper
Cons: Wire mess!
Comments
I would only go wireless if you have to because of a living situation. If you plan on gaming, wireless will have even more noticeable speed drawbacks. If you plan on just surfing and downloading, on most connections it should be about the same (assuming near 100% signal strength & quality).

Well, to reverse the term the benefits of a wireless network are that you have portability, your not stuck to the limits of a cable or wire. the downside to a wireless network is that they can be intercepted, but even a wired network can be spliced into. But with the proper settings you can encrypt the network even though it is wireless.
For your points:
Harder to intercept
Not limited by structural limits
Easier to troubleshoot, as you can trace/see all end users from your switch or router
Easier to network, example if you have an 802.10 wireless lan card, that won't work on an 801.11 network, but you may want to check on that.

Wired networks are more secure it would be easier to trace the source of problem and especially viruses.
Wireless networks are more diffcult and viruses and hackers would be able to get in.

Security is abut the only issue that a hard wired system can claim over a wireless network.

I would like to add to what all said above:
apart fom security and speed, WIRED Networks, provide Redundancy and Quality as well.

SECURITY. SECURITY. SECURITY. SECURITY.
Most people do not set encryption or passwords on their wireless networks, leaving them extremely vulnerable...
Fire up a laptop with a wireless card and drive around the block.. you'll see what I mean..

No eavesdroppers listening to your bank account password. Or using your machine as a zombie, although you can configure your network to keep aliens out.
