I work as an Applications Engineer. We make O.E. friction material for the auto industry. I work in our Technical Center in Michigan. I have been with the company for 14 years. Started as a production tech and worked my way up. I do not have an Engineering degree. My question is this. Why should that keep me from being in the same salary bracket as the newbie grads we are hiring? Hell. I'm training these guys? What do you think?

Is it possible our sun is actualy the center of the universe like the people in the past believed? Our sun could be a hole making tons of energy or sucking in tons of energy. If its true that its making tons of energy getting off the earth and onto mars might not be a bad plan but if its sucking in tons of energy moving closer to it would probably be a better idea. Call me crazy but staying behind on earth seems like a good plan if you dont wana ever evolve ect... I dont think anyone should be forced to do anything they dont want to so if people want to stay or leave they should be given a choice. The animals are probably smart enoth to figure out what they need to do by themselfs us humans are the morons so any action we make is possibly destructive lol oh well I guess thats the price for free will.

Does anyone know where I could get an asnwer to an astronomy question?
Here's my question:
Sub: Precession of the Earth

I understand that equinoxes and solstices occur earlier each year due to the precession of the earth and that the precession cycle is of 25,800 years. Does it mean that winter in the Northern hemisphere will occur in the month of June and the earth will then be at the Aphelion after 12,900 years?

The quadratic formula gives two correct solutions for any second degree equation. I'm told there is a similar, if more complex, method for solving any third degree equation. In other words, if I say Ax^3+Bx^2+Cx+D=0, can you give me the three solutions for x in terms of A, B, C, and D?
