Assuming you mean a round pool with a diameter of 18' and depth of 4' then we need the volume of the pool which is.

(3.14*9^2)*4 = 1017.36 cubic feet of water.

There are 7.48 gallons per cubic foot so ...

1017.36*7.48 = 7609.85 gallons of water.

Since you only gave one number for across I will guess that pool is square (18x18). That gives an area of 324 square feet. Multiply by 4 foot depth gives 1296 cubic feet. Each gallon takes .134 cubic feet.
Divide the 1296 by 1.34 and get 9670 gallons in the pool.

If you meant a round pool it has an area of 254 sq feet which at 4 feet deep is 1017 cubic feet. Divide by .134 and get 7592 gallons in the pool.

If your pool is a rectangle, take the length in feet and multiply by 538.632 to get the number of gallons.

If your pool is a cricle with a diameter of 18' then 81pi times 4 times the conversion factor (cu. feet to gal) of 7.481 gives a total of just over 7,600 gallons.

Gallons = Cubic feet X 8.34gals.

pi X r2 X height in feet = cubic feet

3.14 X (18ft/2)2 X 4ft = 3.14 X 81sqft X 4ft
3.14 X 81sqft X 4ft = 1017.36 cuft
1017.36cuft X 8.34gals = 8484.7824gals

8484.7824 Gallons

I assume it is a round pool since you only gave 2 dimensions.

v = pi r^2 H
v = 3.14159* 9^2 * 4
v = 3.14159* 81 * 4
v = 1017.87 cubic feet
that is 28,822.87 litres
that is 7,614.14 US gallons
That is 6,340.14 Imperial gallons

consider remaining dimension is 1 foot.
so,volume =72 cu feet.
1 cu feet = .02831 cu meter
72 cu feet=72*.02831=2.0389 cu meter.
1 cu meter=1000 litre of water
2.0389 cu meter=2038.9 litres
now, 3.7853 litres=1 us gallon
2038.9 litres= 2038.9/3.7853 gallons
=538.645 gallons is the answer.

what is the length? you need 3 dimensions to calculate the volume.

You gotta give us more info....volume is LENGTH, WIDTH and height. Say, what don't you ask your math teacher OR do your own homework!
