For some reason I'm sad.

Sorry - Didn't intend on adding the question mark. It is new news. Pluto is not a planet.

Wow! So according to an article I read only 424 astronomers were allowed to vote, out of about 10,000 professional astronomers around the globe.
Some astronomers are already getting a petition together to overturn the International Astronomical Union's decision.

Pluto is a dwarf planet and would be recognized as the prototype of a new category of trans-Neptunian objects.

Dwarf planets are not planets according to the new definitions.

Sure will be alot of textbooks that need changing now.

I know, my friend just told me this, and I decided to find out what other people said! This is kind of freaky... it was part of our entire world, but now it's only a Dwarf Planet....

Yes or else they would have to consider innumerable Kuiper belt objects as planets and our solar system would turn into a mess!
