Have you heard the latest research about our 9th planet? PLUTO has been booted out of recognition as a "planet." - Poor Pluto, due to it's "unrecognition as a planetary object" has officially been removed from NASA's observance as such (effective August 16, 2006.)
And here, we were all in expectation to claim it as OURS.
Let's only hope it will not venture out in defiance to form it's own warring factions!

How can we tell given the new definition of planet? We can determine if it orbits a star and estimate its mass. How do we know it has cleared its orbit? It not a good day to be an astronomer.

If a hammer has mass 500kg and it falls freely fom rest a height of 5m on to a pile of mass 1500kg. They then move together as the pile is driven 0.12m into the ground. The intial velocity of the hammer is 10m/s. The velocity after impact is 2.5m/s. The total Kinetic Energy of the pile and hammer is 6250J. The total Potential Energy of the pile and hammer is 2400J.

does anyone remember what happend to that race on star trek where they built a dome around a star? I mean you could probably start making matter with energy if you had the ability to harness the power of a "star" What if you could do the inverse for a black hole? Also what would be the effect of doing the same to the planet earth instead of useing it to gain energy you used it to shield it from energy? Would the earth start to super cool and become a black hole? How much do you trust the people in power and what are you gona do about it?

First we're supposed to have more planets, and then they say we have less than before. Do you feel like the solar system is getting smaller? Why couldn't Uranus be demoted instead, since it has a bad name anyway?

I have a sample of 15 firms, with certain data i.e. the profits for each firm, the number of employees, the number of board members etc. Due to the small sample size, its not worth doing multiple regression to see whether the the number of employees, the number of board members etc. affect the firms profits. So I just want to do some correlation between the dependent variable (profitability) and the independent variables i.e. member of employees, the number of board members etc......should I use Pearsons or Spearman? Thanks.

I have been using the 5-htp, 50mg twice a day, for 4 months.

I take it for the previous substance abuse, to re-gain the serotonin level.

I think I will take this for a while. But first, I need to know about it's long term use.

Can I just take the 5-htp everyday? Or should I take a "medicine holyday" (taking a break for a certain period time) in between?

Is it okay to take the 5-htp for a long time, like some years or even lifetime?

What else should I know about taking the 5-htp?

Thank you.
