Global warming does not exist as such. Indead, winters are getting COLDER, and summers are getting warmer. So, warming? No.
What we are observing is a slow (but maybe accelerating) CLIMAT CHANGE.
This is a normal state of Earth evolution. We are contributing to the climat change in many ways, from sea's polution to CO2 emissions and so on.
The point is that a very small change in sea temperature, for example, leads to dramatic changes in the rest of the world.
Sea temperature has increased by 0.6 Deg C. Does not sound much, but two things have changed:
- The Gulfsream is changing course, by a few degrees. This will cause dramatic changes in European countries and their sea shores, and their local climate.
- The atlantic coast (Europe) has seen the plancton to change level (lower in the sea), dragging with them the fish... and damaging the fishing industry.
The main superior Jet Stream has also changed course by as much as 3 degrees south. This will trigger more wind rotation underneath that could increase the number of hurricanes born in the Pacific, with their devastating results...
But the day after tomorrow is not for tomorrow...

I have a hard time believing a group of scientists who have a long-standing history of trying to incite fear and panic in people telling us "we're doomed" just like they have been for the past four decades. It doesn't help that they don't defend their research but instead engage in name-calling with anyone who does (READ: You question their research or their conclusions, their response is "You're such an idiot. Global warming IS happening. It's obvious. Are you that blind that you can't see it?") Can they be a little more Pee Wee Herman? Liar, liar, pants on fire...The truth is global warming MAY be happening, but it may be a natural cycle of the Earth (then again, maybe it isn't) and there may be nothing we can do about it (then again, maybe we can). Until the environmentalists start behaving like adults and giving logical explanations of how they came to their conclusions and stop trying to belittle people who disagree with them, we'll never really know what's going on.

Global warming is real, but it is a natural effect. Man has very little impact. The poles have been frozen and unfrozen many times in earths history. Its all part of the normal cycle.

A lot of reports that played down global warming to the UN were suppressed for sum reason

I remain skeptical. I am not convinced that what is being called
'global warming' is not just the normal cycle of the planet earth (scientists admit to cyclic warming & cooling trends in the planet's temperature).

The question is not whether it is real. All agree that there is a short-term increase. The question is what is its cause. Some believe it is largely due to fossil emissions, and therefore believe it requires us to change our behavior and economy. Others believe it is largely due to non-human natural changes, and changing our behavior or economy is not likely to have any effect on the temperature.

I've never really looked into it. I've certainly noticed the changes though. Last winter, we barely had snow and this summer has been really hot.

The book Weather Makers by Tim Flannery explains why all this is happening, I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

I think we need to start thinking of ways to combat global cooling. Might was well get started in advance.

I think it's real, however I believe its more of a cyclical pattern than anything else. Check out the source I have provided for yourself.
