The left side is responsible for language processing which represents our ability to analyze and think conceptually. But with some left handed people this ability is in the right side, so it all depends.

The left side of your brain controls the right side of your body and the right side controls the left. The right side controls non-verbal information (patterns, orientation, tones) and emotions. The left side controls language skills and cognition. The left is usually dominant in most people. To answer the question, they are both important. We would be lost without either one being functional. Neither is smarter than the other.

There's no left or right brain. If you mean the lobe, that's a different story. The brain is divided into two lobes, the right one is used for emotional reactions and reflexes, and the left one is used for creative thinking.

Depends on if you are left or right handed. If you are Left haded then you use your right side of the brain the most and vice a versa.

I don't think we should do without either, but generally the left hemisphere contains the majority of language processing.
So if you get shot in the head, try to get hit on the right side so you can still explain "Hey! Ow! I got shot in the head!"

actually i am right handed and working with my 1 brain. i don't know what is left and right brain. i think it is up to the individual. sometimes i think with my right brain, sometimes with left, other times on the front and back. i don't know, this is how i think. sometimes i just don't think at all.

I wouldn't say left or right is best. Both are needed for many reasons.
