If a large meteor rock what ever hit the dinosours if it di hits the earth and the hit is strong eough to move the entire planet about a 1,000 miles away from the sun would the planet be global warming free because it's farther from the sun and there for it's so much colder even if every day even in the summer is like -10 degrees or -30 degrees we could learn to adapt to it and the earth would immedeatly (spelled that wrong) cool down. Would it work and if a rock hits the earth with enough force to move us that fa away from the sun would the whole planet be destroyed would all life die or survive.

After all why? What was here before there was this universe. I have heard that there was an explosion and since than universe started to expand and it is still expanding! So if the universe wasn't here what would be here.

I know what I am trying to ask is not clear but think about it, you might have the same question.

I know that zero works great to establish place value. However, if you owe me a dollar you can never pay it back with zeros! The way zero is used is fine; but I think it should be classed with operations and not classed as a number. What is your answer?

For example, you get water in a cup, and you place it in your table.
And when the airplane turns to change direction... the liquid doesn't spill! Have you noticed? It moves a little but not as much as the plane's turn... why? Why drinks don't spill on airplanes?

Yes, you are right we are fighting for our Earth, our home and our lives.

I walked the streets of Seattle and the streets of Quebec with thousands of other citizens. I talked with them, protested with them, laughed with them and threw canisters with them.

We can talk about the problems of our present system and it's unacceptable situation. We all may boycott and protest, which are very important. But what I feel is needed is a plan - we need a new story, a new vision, a new place we want to go and arrive at in the future.

If I may, may I spark your imaginations?

We see a world that is infinitely connected, where our cities are forests, cleaning the air and being homes for many species.
Our homes create excess energy through ecological design architecture made of local materials. This anticipatory design science uses the abundant solar energy when it is cost-effective. Therefore perhaps some day paying for part of our home taxes by selling hydrogen back to the grid.h

The Olympis Mons. Some people think I'm crazy for believing that a huge lightning bolt (ones like our ancient ancestors talked about, remember?) struck the planet created those huge mountains that look like volcanoes, but actually aren't. Don't the "craters" look cut out? They're so clean and round and centered on each other:
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/Bigpappadiaz/050606omcaldera.jpg

I mean... come on! In the electric experiment you see in the first picture, moisture came out of the clay and "sweat" away from the crater.

Anyways, I'm just trying to get somebody new to see it too and maybe get a friend a little bit more convinced.

If you start something can it every truly be finished this is my theroy i came up with when my mother said to me at least finish 3 of your chores.
This is how it works lets say you have 5 things and you finish 2 this must mean you have 3 things left to do, but since you finished your 2nd and now are on your thrid how can you have 3 things to do.
You finished your 2nd now you have 3 things to do but since you finsihed it doesnt this mean that you are now on your 3rd one. If you are on your 3rd one how can you have three more things to do.
You can never finish something you can only stop and add something new. With out starting the 3rd thing the 2nd thing would never end or would it? How could it end if you have you are always left with more to do. Explain to me please anyone what is wrong with this or help me explain it easier i am so ******* confused. sighs

It is not what I have seen but just heard. I don't know if it is true or not. I have heard that a laser beam is strong enough to be used in the dark sky. I am really astonished, When i use a torch, I can feel the final contact point where the beam converges to form a round image. The round image it not formed until the beam strikes some opaque object. Is it same with the laser beam or is it different? Doesn't it need any such thing to indicate the final contact point, where the beam converges? Please tell me what happens when a powerful laser beam is shown up to the dark sky.

In the early 90's, some time during the middle of a clear night, I sat upon my roof with a radio and wrist watch. On the radio, I was listening to a live broadcast of a SS night launch.

Before lift-off, it was reported to the public that the Shuttle's flight path would be east of the U.S. coastline heading north on it's way into space, and residents of NYC would be able to see it when it flew by.

Knowing the distance from the Cape to NYC and the average speed of the SS, I estimated 10 minutes would pass before I saw it.

After hearing "lift-off" on the radio, I looked at my watch and started my countdown for the sighting.

Exactly 10 minutes later, I began scanning the eastern horizon. To my amazement, about 15 degrees above the horizon, I saw a glowing orange shockwave that looked like this < . The glow lasted for about 30 seconds, with the remaining seconds flickering on and off, until the shuttle entered the vacuum of space.

What A sight!

Keep in mind that some extraterrestrial life may be more advanced than us. So if they know we are here, could it result in a war like "War of the Worlds"?
