You really need to divide it up. If you are talking commercial, you get into gold, silver, platinum, iridium, rhodium, and such. You can also get into some of the very rare radioactives where a few atoms cost large research budgets to make. You can also talk about isotopes. Carbon-12 is cheap, carbon-13 less cheap, and carbon-14 expensive. To obtain pure samples of rarer isotopes will be very expensive.

Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Iron, Zinc, Methane, and um... without neon you can forget all those pretty lights in Vegas. Can't think of ten at the moment, but those six I know are damn Important. OH Helium and all of the first four are important too because the sun needs them to give us our light and energy.
I was thinking valuable as in essential to life, not monetary. Neon is not valuable.

This was a hard question. Here are some prices of elements that are available for purchase, but I imagine some of the ones that are not commercially available are even more expensive.

Plutonium (it's very hard to make, requires the use of nuclear reactors and a lot of time), Uranium (it is very hard to seperate U-238 fron U-235), deuterium (A hydrogen isotope used to make H-bombs), Tritium (A hydrogen isotope used to make H-bombs), Neptunium (another element that theoretically can be used to make Atom Bombs). These elements are very valuable simply because they are very hard to make, and they are worth many times their value. (heavy water for instance is worth thousands per pound).
