It's a bit tougher to get pregnant after 30 I heard. I've been off the pill for 5 months now but haven't been trying to get pregnant. How do I know when I'm ovulating? Do certain positions work best? Does laying down for a half an hour or propping yourself up with a pillow help? Any other suggestions?

Months before my 3rd child was born, I decided to end my marriage. Due to the divorce & other stuff I decided I was going to tie my tubes after the birth of my 3rd child 4 years ago. Since then I have remarried to a guy who has no children. Now I'm regretting what I have done. We both hope someday we can become pregnant. I know some tubals can be reversed. But can they repair fallopian tubes that have been cut & tied? I do know that they removed 2.0 x 0.6 cm of one & the other 1.2 x 0.4 cm. Would anyone know if these would be able to be repaired?? Please help if you can. Thank You

To those who are experienced only? My last normal cycle was on Dec. 11,2006(lasted 5 days, normal) Started spotting on Jan. 1,2007(came on early, stayed for 2 to 3 days, very light, pinkish when wiped, not normal) Now backaches, headaches, stomach pains and constipation.

I took a test 3 times since after the spotting. Got 3 faint positive. One an equate, baby pregnancy test, and for sure. Each day you can see it better than the day before. What do you all think? I am preparing to go to the doctor. Need second best opinion! ;-)

I go in to the hospital tomorrow for a blood test. How long does it usually take to get the results back? I'm pretty anxious, so I don't want to wait!!!

okay, so there's almost no way i can't be pregnant... but i haven't taken my ept yet. the only reason i have for even slightly doubting it is that two days ago i was throwing up so badly that i stayed in bed ALL day and ALL night. but now, miraculously, i'm completely okay.... beside the fact that i have mood swings like i've never had before (i've always been the one to brag that i don't have mood swings, and i found myself crying over nothing last night)... are these normal signs of being pregnant? i'm not trying to concieve at all, i'm only 18... but if i am it's okay... i'd just like to know before i take the test. THANK YOU!!!

My fiance and I tried to conceive for the first time on January 1st, before he had to go back to Iraq. I was due to start my period on the 8th; so I am now 10 days late. The first pregnancy test I took when I was 3 days late, was a First Response test and it was positve. Then I went to get a couple more just to make sure, they were Clear Blue, I think; and they were both negative. I go to the doctor for a blood test tomorrow, but I was just wanting to find out what you guys think!

Question: Can having too much sex affect our chances of getting pregnant?

Answer: No. While many couples believe they have to save the man's ejaculate until the exact moment of ovulation, that's not true. In fact some couples become so obsessed with timing sex during ovulation that they actually hurt their chances of getting pregnant. Stressing over ovulation can wreak havoc on your cycle — not to mention your marriage!

It's a myth to think you should have less sex in order to conceive. All the evidence shows that the more you have sex, the better your chances of getting pregnant. In fact, having sex often ensures that the sperm in a man's ejaculate is as healthy as it can be. Storing it up can decrease its motility, so don't be tempted to put off intercourse until you ovulate, and don't abstain for more than seven days in a row. While it's true that the density of sperm in each ejaculate diminishes with frequent orgasms, all that really matters is that there is some sperm in the woman's fallopian tubes during the time of ovulation.

I didnt actually have sex.

On friday night I gave my boyfriend a handjob and i put my hand on his penis and then i pulled his boxers back up before he came like way before and when he came his boxers were on. It would have been a good 30-40 minutes before I went home to check my discharge (long story) like having to touch myself. Then on saturday night Im scared because i touched my boyfriend over his boxers and im afraid that I somehow got sperm on my hands and I had to go to the bathroom 10-15 minutes later to check my discharge (long story) so now im afraid I may have put something in me. That happened on Saturday. Which pregnancy test should I like use? Im so scared that i put something in me.

I had my tubes reversed 06/23/2006 in hopes of getting pregant again. In November 06 I found out I was pregant. We were so excited. My husband is 28 where I am 37. This would be our first child together. I was getting my blood drawn as advised my Dr. Berger (Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal). When it came time for my ultra sound it was heart breaking. I was 7 weeks pregant in my right tube. The pregency was so high up the doctors thought I would loose my ovary as well. To make a long story shorter, I now have only the left tube. Due to the scare tissue from having my tubes tied and then reversed the navel doctor's recommended I not try again but opt for IVF. We are torn, what do we do? We are not rich people and can not afford IVF right now. We want a baby very much though. My question is "Has this happened to you or someone you knew" What are my odds of natural conception?

I have a beautiful 3 year old son and have been trying to get pregnant for about 6 months with another baby. In that time I have had a miscarriage. I am 36 years old and concerned that I am getting too old. Will my son always be sad that he doesn't have a sibling? If you grew up an only child what was it like?? If you only have one child what helped you make that decision?

My girlfriend and I have been trying to conceive a child for a year now (she had been on the pill for 4 years when we decided to have a baby). We've done several tests, and the doctors say they don't see what the problem is, and everything seems just fine. Should we get worried though ?

Please give websites and the name of the surgery if you can. My friend has had 4 miscarriages total and 3 in the last year. She can hold the baby for about 6-10 weeks and she loses it. The husband and her both have had tests done and they are both normal. My mom told me about a surgery that can be done once the baby is in place and shows no sign of deformity. But mom doesn't know the name of the surgery. The baby will stay until full term.

Obviously you can't pick and choose the sex but I have read in parenting magazines that certain positions and foods increase your chances. Is this true or just something to get someones hopes up?! We will be happy either way but we already have a girl and would like a boy this time around :)!
