When you want a child this is easier said then done, but try not to stress out. Most doctors state that you should not even worry about not being able to get pregnant until you have been trying for 12 months. This means for every person that has a surprise or had luck a month or two in, there are couples that it took 12-14 months.
If you want to better your odds, buy a fertility monitor. They can be pricey but after a month or two they can pinpoint the exact day and some even the time range that your body is most likely to conceive. Try this a few months and see if it works.
If it does not, you and your man should get checked out. Dont use an OB, use a fertility specialist. They look for endometriosis and sperm/egg levels, etc. You will most likely start on a mild dose of Clo-mid which will stimulate ovulation further.
I know its hard when you want something so much to be disappointed each month. Hang in there!!

It can take a year or so for some people to get pregnant. I'd suggest relaxing and not "trying" so hard. If you let your body and mind relax, then nature will takes its course. Don't set your own timetable or you will be sorely disappointed. If you stop worrying about it, you might be surprised at how quickly you conceive. Good luck.

Try having sex every other day starting right after your period has stopped. THis may not work the first month, but should work in a short time. Sex every day will lessen your chances of getting pregnant.

talk to your doctor, but in the meantime, are you timing your cycle? I used an Ovulation Predictor Kit after trying in vain for several months, and it worked on the first try!
