my periods have been going about 6 weeks the last 2 months oct. 22, dec. 6 and still counting. does anyone have any ideas on what this could be. my ob thinks its fine, just not ovulating, but i saw the fertile mucus. has this happened to anyone else. i was a regular 28 days kinda girl before all this. thanks

if you don't ovulate, you will have an abnormally long cycle cause you get your period 12-14 after you ovulate and if you don't your body is going to keep waiting for it. If you want to know for sure try charting your basal temp, and your cervical mucus. There are many reasons to not ovulate, an accident, a signifigant weight loss, being too thin. Your body had decided for whatever reason that it is not a good idea to get preg now and is preventing that by not ovulating. If you feel uneasy about what the dr is telling you get a second opinion.

uuummmm, that is not normal at all, i think your dr. is a quack, why would not ovulating cause a 6 week period??? Go get a second opinion right away!!!
