I got pregnant the first time and delivered at 23 weeks, my daughter was born at 1pound 3ounces had a lot of difficulties but is a happy healthy 4 year old now. I love my daughter but still feel sad that I didn't get the chance to have a real pregnancy, I was in a hospital on bed rest from 17 weeks on, and never got the chance to get big, take birth classes, breastfeed, hold my newborn, all that. Hubby and us decided after 2 years to try for #2. I got pregnant, but at first doctors appt was told there was no heart beat, turns out it was a molar pregnancy, which is where the body basically makes a placenta but no baby. Had the surgery to remove it and went thru the year and a half of testing to make sure the cells didn't come back or become cancer. They removed the cells by a D&C with suction which is the way they do abortions. Could it have harmed my ability to concieve somehow? The doctors all said after waiting a year I should be fine to try again. It's been 2 years now and no luck.
