I understand what you are going through I really do. It sounds like you don't have a normal 28 day cycle. But that does not mean that you can't conceive or even that it will be harder for you to conceive. I have heard from a leading fertility Dr. that the only person who can tell you when you are ovulating is an obgyn with blood test., He says charting with temps is a waste of time it will only stress you, the Internet has conflicting info(which I know by now you have realized) and will only stress you. 2 people with healthy reproductive systems will conceive within one year if they have regular sex(about 3 nights a week). I would just stay off the Internet keep the thermometer out of your mouth enjoy your hubby. Know that you ovulate sometime before your period....the doc told me that in very healthy conditions sperm can live in you up to 7 days (at least they will live in you for 2-3 days) so regular sex should get the job done eventually. But yes 4 mo. is a very short time to be trying. Good luck to you and God Bless!

The only way you can tell when you are ovulating is to take your temperature every day and watch for the shift which happens after ovulation. The best book on this method is "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler. You should also notice an increase in the amount and wetness of your cervical fluid and a softening and openiong in your cervix (you can check this yourself with a finger!) around ovulation time.

Ovulation tests detect a surge in luteinising hormone which happens before you ovulate - but they are expensive and not always accurate some women do not ovulate immediately after their LH surge.

Do not trust the idea that all women ovulate on day 14 of their cycle - they do not and if your cycles are longer then you probably ovulate later!

4 months is a very short time to be trying. I tried for years and years with no luck before I got pregnant! If you are under 30 you are advised that you do not need to worry until you have been trying for 12-18 months. 30-35 year olds should try for 12 months and 35+ should try for 6 months before they need to worry and seek medical advice.

Try not to stress, it won't stop you conceiving but it won't do you any good. You have only been trying for a short time and you have plenty of time before you even need to start worrying!!!

Giving birth to a new life is indeed a blessing which almost every woman would wish to have. How to get pregnant naturally https://tr.im/E1Saw
Enjoying the feeling of motherhood and raising a family would surely be a couple’s dream. Some get it naturally, while for some others things don’t seem to work as they desire. These reasons which stop a women from conceiving can be due to either physical reasons or truly physiological.

It makes it hard if you're periods aren't every 28 days, I'm not even sure how that works. I've never tried ovulation predictors, but I've heard good things about them. I understand how you're feeling, we've been trying for over a year now, I did get pregnant 2 months ago, and then lost it at about7 weeks:-( It was exciting, then devastating.

Number one, don't stress. It is so much harder to get pregnant when you are stressing over it. Go get a massage. Enjoy some quiet time with your husband. Get a pedicure, get your hair done.
Usuall you will ovulate around 14 days after the first day of your period. There is usually a five day window around that time. You can also get ovulation kits at the store that help detect when you are ovulating. Good Luck!

i am actually in the same position you are in. In order not to think about it is very hard, you have to find some way to keep your mind off of it....perhaps being engaged in activities that require you to constantly be thinging about the functioning of that activity so you can't think about pregnancy. Another thing, you may want to go to your doctor and have them examine you. THer could be another problem. Conception can take up to 13 months and sometimes even longer. I have been trying for 5 months now and still haven't had a result...

Wow! I am in the same exact boat! Charting ovulation is such a pain in the butt but it's got to be done! Especially for girls like us. So I started tracking my basal body temp this month and my cervical fluid... I also read that the herbal supplement Maca Root increases fertility... Or you can try Pre-seed (which I heard works well if you do not produce egg white cervical mucous)... Honestly, just keep trying, it will happen! Good luck!
