When hoping to get pregnant, what are some dietary and physical habits that women with successful pregnancies have tried??

Well the usual apply - don't smoke, eat healthy food, take vitamins not to much exercise, relax blah blah.

But some women do all this and still don't conceive!

The trick is timing intercourse around the time of ovulation. There is no other way really. There is no hard evidence that eating "unhealthy" food or suffering stress will stop you conceiving no matter what the naturopaths and old wives insist, but stress and being overweight does make your life more difficult.

I managed to get pregnant after many many years of trying and I didn't really 'alter' a thing about my lifestyle. The only things I did was start taking prenatal vitamins that month and I also took some time off from my (unpleasant and stressful) job and had some spiritual healing to help with my stress levels (including stress about infertility). I did become pregnant for the first time in my life that month but whether it was the vitamins or the relaxing/therapy I have no idea and I would be loathe to tell anyone they must try this. After all, I have known women with appalling dietary habits, who are overweight, smoke and get no exercise and who conceive and have children as easily as blinking!

If you haven't already, get hold of a copy of "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler - its available worldwide and is a real goldmine of info for anyone trying to conceive, including how you can pinpoint your most fertile times.

Good luck!

Eating right, getting daily exercise and make sure you take a good vitamin with folic acid in it. The healthier and more in shape you are, the easier your pregnancy is going to be on you once you become pregnant.

rest do not worry, or fret about becoming pregnant.. you could take some vitamins.. and have regular love making with your husband...but the best thing is not to get anxious and relax and i should happen....
