After 2 years, my husband and I finally got pregnant. We have been through infertility treatment and were to start our first IVF in March. I found out I was pregnant a little over a week ago. At a little over 6 weeks, they did an ultrasound because I had significant cramping on one side. Thank GOD, it was an ovarian cyst and the baby was in the uterus. We were able to see the heart beat @ 180 bpm!
The problem is, I am terrified something will go wrong. Is this normal?? We go back tomorrow for another ultrasound to check on the cyst and I keep having dreams there is no heartbeat. Is this normal or is my body trying to tell me something is going to happen? He is so happy and I am so, SO scared. Did anyone have these thoughts and go on to have a healthy baby?

I am 30wks pregnant... i cannot stop cleaning.
Over the weekend i moved all the furniture out from downstairs so i could get on my hands and knees and scrub the floors. I scrubbed the window frames, the door frames, the windows. I vaccumed until there was NOTHING i had left behind. I cleaned out wardrobes and dressers, i stripped beds and washed all the linen. I went through our office and cleaned out paperwork and filed tax returns etc. And my next job (next weekend) is to scrub the walls of our house. I'm at work today exhausted because i cleaned so much over the weekend and all i can think is "I want to go home and clean those darn walls"! LOL.

This is not normal behaviour... is it?
I won't let my fiance help because... well because he's not me i suppose and i want things to be done my way! lol.
When will this crazy compulsive behaviour stop? I've always liked a clean neat house but even i recognise i'm a bit extreme at the moment... but don't know how to stop it?!

Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to be morbid or gross by asking this question. I'm just curious because I know two different people who recently lost babies pretty late in the pregnancy and I know that both of them had to deliver the baby naturally, rather than via C-section. I mentioned it to a friend and she said that also happened to someone she knows. This obviously has got to be pretty emotionally traumatic for the mother to have to deliver a stillborn baby, and I know it would still be bad with a C-section, but is there some medical reason why doctors have women do this instead of the C-section? I mean, I know that Caesareans are major surgery and usually only done when necessary, but if nowadays rich women can choose to have C-sections, it seems to me like doctors would give a woman with a miscarriage the same option just to make it a little easier on her. Sorry for the long explanation, but any help would be appreciated!

I was reading in my pregnancy book the other day that they give it early and can inject more later if it wears off, but I've never heard that before. Also, are there other forms of pain relief they give before the epidural or do you just wait it out? Thanks!

I am 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I have been dialated to 3cm and effaced 70% for 2 1/2 weeks now. For the past several days I have been having menstrual-like cramps. I began losing my mucous plug about 1 month ago, but in the last two days it has changed to a HUGE amount. Every night I think, "it could be tonight", and every morning I wake up and I'm still pregnant. Any thoughts as to when this baby might make his appearance?? This is my first time so I am clueless.

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to handle situations without having my blood pressure go up or just get plain old flustered and aggravated with everyday issues. I'm not depressed or anything, just aggravated and aggitated by small things that happen. I'm 38 weeks today and ready to get this over with.

Anyone else go through this now or when you were pregnant? Is this normal behavior considering my condition?

He usually calls me everyday the last time I talked to him was friday morning. I called him today to see how he was doing and he just went off. He was like I don't need to call him until the baby is here and he don't have a cell phone so when he is not home he he is not there, and if I put him on child support whatever he don't care. I didn't do nothing to him so what is his problem? He is the one who is saying he is happy and want his baby. He was the one talking about having a baby for the past 2 months, and now since it has happened, he is acting crazy. He tells my friends that he love me "which I know is a lie" and that he is happy about the baby and how he gonna take care of it and that, but he tells them one thing but shows me something completely different. I am really starting to hate I'm having his baby. I want my child but I hate it is part of him. I don't know what to do.

Im getting induced on wednesday, i will be 39wks and 5 days then, and im not worried or scared or anything like that. I just want to know what I should bring to the hospital to help *keep me entertained* and what I should pack for my husband to keep him busy, I hear induced labors can be really quick or take really long, so i want to be prepared for both. I would just like to know from other women who had a scheduled induction, what they brought and what they wish they brought with them to the hospital, so far all i have is a book and i was thinking of bringing in a portable DVD player for my husband, since the hospital im going to only has TV's in the recovery room and not the L&D room, im also going to a military hospital so i dont know if that helps.

I had my period from the 17-19th, and it was light, meaning I didn't need tampons, just pantiliners. BUT it wasn't really really light; it was still noticeable and seemed like a period. It was brown. Can you tell the difference? If I bled then and now I am having symptoms, does that match up with the time line? What I mean to say is, is it possible to have symptoms this soon?

I had a light period on January 17-19th. In the past couple of weeks, I've been really tired and in the last couple of days I've been having cramping feelings and a sore lower back (it feels like I'm going to get my period!), but my period isn't due for another week and a half. I guess I should also mention that last month I forgot to take about 4 of my pills, and so I ended up taking two per day a few times. Do you think I need to take a test or not? How likely is it that I am pregnant considering that I'm on birth control pills?

I've been on the pill for about a year and recently I had a very random premonition that I was going to have a baby within the year. It was fleeting and left me feeling very upset and confused. Since then I realized I've missed about 5 pills, ( i dropped two (they rolled and couldnt find them) and forgot to take three- then I remembered that if you miss more than one? or two? you are supposed to start the pack over or something?) idk. I just ended my period before I missed those pills so will I have to wait until the end of the month to determine if I'm pregnant? Should I continue to take my remaining pills in hopes that they will work? I *am* sexually active with my boyfriend of over five years, and I havent yet told him about the premonition or the fact that I've missed pills because I dont want to worry him for nothing. I don't *feel* pregnant but I dont really know what to think. I'm definately stressed. Can anyone answer my questions? Thank you in advance!
