I am 7 weeks pregnant and just announced the news to my sister and my bil. This pregnancy is a long time coming, we waited quite some time before trying and now that we have decided to make the leap we are really excited. We are 32 years old and have been married for 5 years. My sister has a 4 year old and I thought she would be over the moon. She seemed excited for about a 30 second hug and then went onto another thing the topic hardly came up for the rest of the night. Maybe I was expecting too much or I am just hormonal.
Anyways, were any of you disappointed in the reaction when you announced the news?

I was told that I was pregnant on Jan 9. Since then, I've felt pregnant. Just recently, my body has been feeling really bad. I have these terrible headaches.. and stomach cramps.. However, I dont really feel pregnant, anymore. I keep reading about these "missed miscarriages," but no one ever describes the symptoms that your body experiences before the miscarriage is caught. PLEASE HELP!

My Dr. wants to stretch my cervix tomorrow so that she can break my water. I'm only 1cm dilated so far, been that way for over 2 weeks, I'm at 40 weeks now, due on Saturday. Dr. wants to induce me because I live almost an hour from the hospital and she doesn't want me going into labor and delivering on the highway as this is my 3rd baby and she expects labor and delivery to be quick. My question is has anyone else ever had their cervix stretched, and if so, how painful was it. It's funny, but I'm more afraid of that than actual labor I think. My pelvic exams are painful enough, so I'm afraid this is really going to hurt.

At the beginning of the year, someone told me to talk 2 pills of my birth control a day ( ortho tri-cycle low ) until I caught up.

I did that for about 4 days so I took 8 pills in 4 days.

ANYWAY, After I did this one of my friends told me that they did it to and started bleeding for 2 weeks. I did the SAME thing and started bleeding for 2 weeks in the middle of Januray.

My question is

I start my period at the beginning of every month, but i didn't this month!

When i was bleeding in the middle of the month ( because of the pills ) did that count as my period or just a cause because i was taking the pills?

Just curious because Im sexual active and my fiance says he thinks I look like I have a bump.

well I had my membranes stripped today being 39 weeks and 3 days along. my doctor said that if it worked I would be in labor in 1 or 2 days she also said to have sex. anyone been through this before and if so did it work?

ive been with my boyfriend for about 7 months but been friends for about 10 months. I am a full time student and live on my own with my best friend. I am 36 weeks pregnant and I am scheduled for a c-section at 38 weeks. Within the past week I have had a yellowish pasty discharge very bad to the point I am having to wear a panty liner. It has a foul smell to it. I have also had a little bit of brownish spotting. Is this normal for 36 weeks?

i think i got a little precum in my girlfriend, but i didnt actully *** in her. (the condom broke, and i realized just in time.) However, over the past month, my gf's appetite increased. Have such a hard time pushing out a baby? It looks easy, and I think women WAY overstress the pain and hard work. I was watching a movie and the lady acted like she was going to die. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to let women have the children?? LOL. My question, how come it's so hard? Looks easy!

I am almost 5 weeks pregnant...I have been having cramps. They are in my lower abdomin, just about in the center of the abnomin, a little to the right. i get a few a day, the come and go real quick, and aren't any worse than when i had my period. I am 27 weeks pregnate today, I have a 3 year old girl who I went into labour with at 31 weeks pregnate.
On Saturday I lost what I am sure was my mucous plug, I have been having bad period like pains in my vigina muscles. Lots of strong baxton hicks contractions since I was about 22 weeks pregnate and leaking a fuild for about 1 week now.
The doctor thinks I am being silly, but the same things happened with my first little girl. It took them 4 days and many test to find the small trace of amniotic fluid I was leaking.
What do I do to make them believe me for its to late and I go into labour and that cant stop it?

After I gave birth (awhile back), I didn't receive any flowers or gifts. Just 1 card from my mom and sisters and congratulation emails from my in-laws and my cousins.
But whenever someone gives birth in the family, I go out of my way and get them something nice.
Am I selfish for feeling this way?

I'm 30wks 3 days pregnant.

In this pregnancy i have craved different things - nothing abnormal though - normal food stuffs.

The last few days i have been craving beer. I wasn't a big drinker before i got pregnant, and i certainly never drank beer. I've always hated the stuff - always. And yet here i am at 30wk craving beer. Insane right?

Now, obviously i'm not going to indulge in drinking one but i was wondering if anyone knew what i could be lacking to make me crave beer. I know certain cravings can be caused by low iron levels or low calcium levels or whatever ... but i can't figure out what it is that beer might represent?

Any ideas?

I've had a baby before and my labor with my daughter I never got contractions every 2-3 minutes. My entire labor was like one huge contraction that just wouldn't go away and I felt it a lot in my back, well recently I've been feeling pain in my back similar to the ones that I had when I had my daughter. All I want to know is what are the chances of him surviving at this gestational age?

OK I'VE HAD IRREGULAR PERIODS AND GOT ON BC TO REGULATE THEM WELL ONE DAY I STOPPED TAKING THEM AND HAD MY LAST PERIOD IN MAY. WELL GUESS WHAT I'M PREGNANT! I went to have a ULTRASOUND DONE IN NOVEMEBER and they told me I was 21 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Now I need 2 to kno do I start from tha day I was told I was 21 weeks and count back counting that week 2 see when I got pregnant or do I add 2 weeks to tha 21 due to tha last period 2 week theory. Let me know guys please answer only if u know for sure or think your response is pretty accurate. THANX GUYS!
