Not really and higher than anyone else. When it comes to the heredity of twins, it typically has to do with the woman's side of the family. Men always will ejaculate millions of sperm, it's up to the woman's body to have two eggs (1 of the two ways to make twins- this is for fraternal twins, the "hereditary" kind) and for both of them to get fertilized. Identical twins happen when one egg splits into two.

I am not sure exactly how it works but i know that my grabdmother on my mothers side had twins years and years ago but lost them because of prematurity and back then there wasnt enough medicine to help them out that much as now...I never knew this until i got pregnant a couple yrs ago and was told by my sister that she wonders who in the family will have twins *there are 8 of us* and at the time she told me this i was pregnant..i ended up having a miscarriage at the hospital and doc told me it was twins that passed away *ultrasound showed 2 babies*,i was shocked and couldnt believe it..its possible and can happen,i thought i would be the last person in the world to get pregnant with twins..good luck!

Twins run on the mothers side.

For you to have fraternal twins, it would have to be in your gene pool... Because you would have to produce 2 eggs, so if it's only on his side, not that likely

It depends on how common twins are in your family. YOUR egg is the one that splits in two, not his sperm.
