At the beginning of the year, someone told me to talk 2 pills of my birth control a day ( ortho tri-cycle low ) until I caught up.

I did that for about 4 days so I took 8 pills in 4 days.

ANYWAY, After I did this one of my friends told me that they did it to and started bleeding for 2 weeks. I did the SAME thing and started bleeding for 2 weeks in the middle of Januray.

My question is

I start my period at the beginning of every month, but i didn't this month!

When i was bleeding in the middle of the month ( because of the pills ) did that count as my period or just a cause because i was taking the pills?

Just curious because Im sexual active and my fiance says he thinks I look like I have a bump.

It sounds like you missed 4 days of pills. Most pill packs say that if you miss more then 2 in a row to throw the whole pack out and start a new pack. There is the chance of pregnancy since you missed so many. Or you might have just messed up your cycle. If at the end of this next pill pack you don't get your period, take a home pregnancy test.

Plus, it would be much to early for you to be showing signs of pregnancy even if you were pregnant.

If you're having problems remembering to take the pill, maybe you should try a different birth control method, such as the patch, NuvaRing, Depo shot, or an IUD.

You should never take more of a prescription medication (or over-the-counter, for that matter) than your doctor says to. You have probably seriously confused your body because of all the hormones, and your cycle will probably be off for a while because of it. I doubt you're pregnant, but stop taking the pills until you can take a pregnancy test, just in case. And of course don't have sex while you're off the pills (unless you really do want to be pregnant).

Even if you are pregnant, I doubt you'd have a bump already. It's only been a month or so since you were off the pills, right? At 4-6 weeks pregnant, there's very little chance you'd be showing. Your fiance is probably just being paranoid.

You should never have unprotected sex when you've missed a pill.. If your not taking your pills ONE A DAY as they are prescribed they will not work... It will also mess up your cycle and your period will be irregular. You should contact your doctor before you take any more pills because If you are pregnant continuing to take the pills could hurt your baby... Good Luck!

Why would you take 2 pills a day because someone told you to? You should have known that was going to screw you up. They tell you to take 1 pill a day for a reason.

You shouldn't have unprotected sex if you miss a pill...

You're probably not pregnant...and if you were it takes more than a month to get a "bump" it usually takes about 4-6 months before the "bump" is showing.

You need to either get a pregnancy test from the store, and or see your doctor, but stop taking the pills until you know for sure, and don't have sex either.

First off... you should consult your prescribing doctor or pharmacist about what do to about missing pills.. not a friend. Sounds as if you need to figure things out BEFORE hand.
