I've had 3 children and I wish someone had thought to gift me something that was for me and not necessarily for the child. After all, I had to do the work right? When you're that far along you're in a great deal of pain, especially back pain. Why not get her a gift of a massage. Make sure that the therapist knows how to do pregnancy massage. Many therapists don't have the attachment to their tables that is needed but even if they did a chair massage she would enjoy that very much I'm sure. I once got a bath basket with lotion, bubble bath, sponge, candles, soap, and loafah. That was really nice. You could make up a basket or pick one up and set it in the bathroom with the water in the tub already drawn and candles lit. Tell her to relax and get her sleep now, because once the baby comes those moments are few and far far between. Good luck

As far as a tangable gift, I'd say jewelry. There are quite a few pieces that personify motherhood. Something with the baby's birthstone perhaps? I think you'll find she'll be most appreciative by your support during the labor (which is no picnic). My husband actually had the nerve to complain about the back pain he experienced while holding my leg back! Don't do that! Suck up any discomfort, lethargy, or hunger you might feel and use every ounce of strength you have to make her experience as pleasant as possible. Constantly remind her of how great she's doing and how proud you are of her. Don't forget to say "thank you" after she gives you the gift of a child. A few tears mean a lot to a woman in that state of mind so shed some even if you have to pinch yourself on the inner thigh!

Get her a pedicure or a manicure & pedicure. Our feet get sooooo sore during pregnancy - especially at the end. Just make sure the people know ahead of time that she is pregnant - (they omit the heel massage portion for pregnant women because it supposely can cause labor/contractions).

Another much needed option would be a pregnancy massage - they have special chairs since by that point you can't lay on your tummy.

My husband also got me a cleaning lady for a couple of weeks leading up to and after my delivery. That way the house is nice and clean when the baby comes, but your partner can spend her time relaxing (and trying to find a comfortable position - it becomes more difficult at the end!).

Congrats! Good luck!

Hi, I am 34 weeks and this is what I will love...more this is a tip from babycenter which i just got today sounds so good.
The anticipation of your newborn and the added stress of pregnancy can take a toll on your love life. Here are some tips to rekindle the romantic spirit during your pregnancy:
Take a long, leisurely bath together. Enjoy a glass of non-alcoholic sparkling cider or juice with sparkling water, and drop a cherry in it.
Give each other a slow, soothing shoulder massage. Try using oils scented with a sensual aroma like jasmine, rose, or musk.
Play exotic or soft music. Dance slowly by candlelight.
Rent a romantic video and snuggle under a soft blanket.
Feed each other. Try chocolates and fresh fruits.
Look through photos taken when you first met to remember how you felt when you first fell in love
Return to the scene of your first date or re-create it as closely as possible
Sit together in the moonlight and just hold hands
Enjoy it!

Well thats the sweetest thing ever!!
Ok well a few ideas my hubby did for me were he took me to get a picture done of my tummy it was very beautiful,he also did like a home spa for me gave me a message, foot rub and bath and had chocolate coverd strawberries and apple jucie lol,Other things you can do is see if you can get a cast of her tummy made,if you guys havnt already go ahead and do up the baby room to what they want for it or an idea of it,and since they will be really tired after the baby is born maybe look into pampering them as there lil treat too,Its kinda hard to say since I dont know your partner and there likes and dislikes but anyone will tell you do something they really like or get tehm a really nice gift just to say I love you...I hope all works good for you

I'm not trying to be a downer but there aren't many fun things for the both of you to do while she is pregnant. Dinner is not some thing you would want here to get sick during though so try to not do that. Best thing to do is a lot of small thing like just being nice.
I know it sounds cheesy.

Ok, this is if you have some money to spend... I would get her one of those mommy bracelets or a cool mothers ring.
If you don't have a big budget I would schedule her an appt for a pedicure or a massage.
Good Luck!

A day of pampering .Get her hair done, get her a pedicure then tell her how beautiful and glowing she is.When it's a done, get her a prenatal massage to help her relax , then bring her home. Remember to do something nice for yourself too,DADDY!!
