Hey, Just wondering if the salads you can get a fast food restaurants are as healthy as if you made them at home and are they a good choice during pregnancy? Last weekend I had Arby's Chicken Club Salad - it comes w/ a big packet of ranch but I only use like a third of that packet on my salad and throw the rest away. I only eat out 2 or 3 times a month (always on the weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday night). What I usually choose is a salad w/ chicken like the one from Arby's. I just alternate the restaurant, sometimes it'll be Sonic's Grilled Chicken salad or Wendy's Chicken BLT or Mandarin Chicken Salad.
So what do you all think of getting salads from fast food restaurants during pregnancy?

I just cant wrap my head around it....at alll! I am 5 wks preggers and my partner of 4 1/2 years (been cohabiting for 2) wants me to terminate. It breaks my heart on so many levels and I just cant believe what is happening! He wants absolutely nothing to do with my going forward and has told me that he wont help me in any way...I am studying and working and I have not told my mom about being pregnant yet. She lives in anothe He has a six year old son and he takes very good care of him even though he lives with his mom and visits on the wk end. We have always talked about having kids even as recently as the day before I found out...and then he flipped! I am beside myself and my mood swings take me to places that I think I might lose the baby anyway. He owns a business and is doing well financially but keeps saying that he cant help financially. I dont know what to do and I am very angry at him! Has this happened to anyone out ther? What did you do? How did you get over it? Help please!

What all can you do for heartburn I know I can take tums and stuff but lastnight I got such bad heartburn like I do every night. So I ate a few tums and went to bed. It almost instantly came back. So I ate a few more. This has been going on since then. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I know I don't have much longer but is there anything I can do at this point to make it just go away. I hardly slept lastnight and I'm hungry and when I eat it just makes it worse.

Ok this may turn into more of a rant, so I'm sorry in advance.

I'm currently 21 weeks + 4 days pregnant. I've been ill since thursday. I went to the emergency GP on Friday night/Sat morning coz of pain in one of my kidneys and wasgiven a short course of antibiotics for a UTI. I went back to see my normal GP today as the pain has come back and I'm really ill with cold and cough etc etc. She said I have a mild ear infection a chest infection and the remains of the UTI as well as this cold. So you can imagine I feel pretty bad! I had Thursday off work as I was having really bad dizzy spells, I worked Sat and Sun, then the doc signed me off work for today to get some rest and try and steam my chest to help!

So in the past week I've had two days off sick and I went to see my boss to tell her I had to go home today and she gave me a lecture about being constantly ill and how it'll probably be best for me to go off on materninty leave early if its gonna be like this!

I have to make a decision on where to deliver. I want to deliver in a very well known hospital with a special very good maternity unit. This is my first, so I am trying to make a decision of traveling to this hospital which is about 45 mins from my home, or to the local hospital which is 15 mins but does not have as good of a ward. Does anyone have any advice?

I am four days late, feel bloated, have this weird headache for about 4 days now that is on one side of my head at the temple and it feels like twinging, it goes off and on, i feel bloated and im always hungry. I would just like to know from anyone else who has been pregnant, what were your symptoms? The very first ones, in the first month. Any thing would be great. Thanks!
(I know I should just go get a preg test, I'm just curious about the symptoms thanks)

I know that I ovulated on around December 1st 2006 and so I should be 8th week pregnant by now. I went to the sdoctor yesterday and they did ultrasound scans (both abdominal and transvaginal) but they only found an empty sac with no embryo and no heartbeat. They said that the sac looks like of the size of 6 weeks and they are concluding that probablythere was a miscarriage. I never bled or didn't have any major cramps since the time I conceived. Dr is asking me to go for a D&C. What do you think? Do I still have any hope? Should I wait for another 2-3 weeks and go for a second u/s scan? Please let me know your advices/comments. It's hard to believe that I had a miscarriage without any bleeding or cramps.

So my period is 2 days late (it's NEVER late)...and i'm thinking it might be a pregnancy. I'm 24, have been in a committed relationship for a year, and we love eachother greatly. We went to a trip earlier this month...and I think that...well u get the pic. My q is whether or not I should tell him...or just go to the clinic myself. He made a comment yesterday about a cute baby on the street (and i agreed), and joked "well do you want a baby," and he gave me a puzzled look...which i understood to be a "no." i'm definitely not ready for a child...no doubt about that...and i know i'll have an abortion...pls advise on whether i should tell him or not..and if so...how?

For those who have gotten pregnant on the pill, how long were you on the pill before you got pregnant & did you take it every day like u r supposed to? Also, do u know about which week you got pregnant... i have girl friend who got pregnant on it & doctor said that according to hcg levels, she got pregnant the week she had her period... is that possible?

then shouldn't 52 weeks (one year) should be equal to 13 months not 12? Cause everyone says that pregnancy is ten months not nine, so isn't our yearly calendar 13 months? Then what month would christmas be in?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and every once in a while, maybe once a day so far, I feel this shooting pain in my stomach. Is that a Braxton Hicks contraction, or something to be concerned about? This is my first child, so I have NO idea what a contraction should even feel like.

I am 33 weeks pregnant and I have had ALOT of cramping/contractions yesterday and today. They lasted almost all day yesterday, but never became stronger. They just started today. I also have a SHARP pain in my lower back that comes and goes. I am having a lot more pressure pain on my pelvic area. Baby isnt as active but I still feel her. I feel the need to go to the bathroom and when I do I just cramp bad, but my stools havent became any looser. I dont want to go be observed at the hospital all day and get sent home. I dont know if this is real.

I feel like a raging b*tch, but it's not "that time" yet. We're trying to conceive, so wanted to hear from women out there if they've had all the "signs", including PMS, and ended up "positive" for pregnancy. This month instead of getting my regular period I had a brown discharge. It lasted about five days which is the same as my period. It almost looked like old blood, you know when your period is either begining or ending. I have a doctors appointment next week, but I'm curious about this and could this mean that i'm pregnant. i'm 25 years old and this is the first time something like this happens to me.

i thought i had my first day last friday. it was a normal flow, but less than what i'm used to. and then saturday came and my period suddenly stopped! small blood spots(sumkinda brown discharge?) followed for more than 3 days. i'm not experiencing any pain or other pregnant signs. could this be implantation bleeding?

I saw pinkish brownish blood mixed with mucous this morning is this my mucous plug? It wasn't thick it was more like a period. Then I saw some more sticky mucous not much just a little.
